love the fact that these internals are getting bigger and bigger, without the price going thru the roof. i use seagate exclusively. i have a lot of internals, and yes, one or two have gone bad but they always have stood behind them even if they were a few years old and sent a new one. did not get my data back, but that's more than a lot of companies would do. great also that they are available immediately, locally.

I had no problem to install this unit. It worked right of the bat! I did format it to ensure it was a good unit.

Quiet and fast. I use this drive to store daily backups of my main system drive. I am a loyal Seagate customer.

Pop the drive in and format and you're good to go. So far, this drive has reaffirmed my belief in Seagate's quality and cost-performance value. Definitely recommended to anyone looking for affordable storage.

This is an excellent hard drive. I bought this predominantly for data storage in my lab as part of a NAS setup. I do scientific research and storing data for posterity (even after a research paper is published) is a practice we follow. The disk has held up well over the years (after five years, it is still doing well). I would highly recommend this if you are looking for long-term data storage.

so far it is working great. I installed it and cloned my hard drive too it. as luck would have it one morning I used "Microsoft edge" too go on line. I got this message your pc has a virus, call this 800 number within 5 minutes or your hard drive will be deleted. as soon as I x'd out of it ,it was gone. the good part was I still had the operating system on this new drive so I was able too recover my pc. thank god I had this new drive.

The size of the hard drive was what I was looking for and it was great I did not need to partition it at all. Overall the installation was easy

We use the Seagate Barracuda drives as our primary archive for hundreds of hours of High-def video (Reading & Writing ~ 1 TB every project) . With a high speed connection, they are faster than anything but a dedicated RAID or SSD. I see about 7-8 GB per minute transfer rate with eSATA. We have twenty of these drives, and even though we occasionally have to re-mount a drive (probably nothing to do with the drive itself), we have yet to see a drive fail or lose data.

If you're not looking for high performance, this is a great value. At about $45/TB, you get good, reliable storage.

I bought this hard drive for a new computer build. Works great, quiet, plenty of storage space.

This is exactly what I was looking for, 3TB and easy installation like most HDDs. Haven't had a problem yet!

I must say there is something gratifying about wanting something, and getting it within the hour you thought of it. Nice to have a store around when you want it.
