Had a hard drive failure so I needed another ASAP. Went to the Homewood store, but all they had was 5400 rpm drives. The lady in the computer department wouldn't check other stores to see where I could find a 7200 rpm drive. So I went to the Lansing store (closest after Homewood). Found the Seagate but it didn't say what speed so the person looked it up for me.

Seagate makes a very dependable hard drive. Priced right.

I bought this to replace/upgrade the 1TB hdd on my 2012 27" iMac. Installation was simple, and within hours, my system was restored and completely operational (the original 1TB drive was full when it crashed - took some time to restore the 1TB of data). Very happy with the purchase. I would recommend.

Lots of space which is what i needed to backup spanned data across 3 1TB hard drives. Now all data is on 1 3TB drive.

Products fits perfectly & very easy, works outstanding

This is a great drive for the price. I am using a pair of these drives as a RAID0 array. So far, it is working great. Rated capacity is 3TB but formatted size is 2.72 TB. You need the latest motherboard with UEFI BIOS and Windows 8 to get past the 2 TB barrier. On my old Windows XP computer, the drive shows up as only a 750 GB drive.

We try to use solely Seagate drives at our office. They have an excellent warranty and their return process is easy.

had to use msconfig bc the uefi is not supported in win7 era hardware.. once that was done it all worked fine 2.79 TB usable space

The only issue I had with this drive is that Best Buy advertised n the store that this drive came with a cable. It does not.

I used these drive to configure a raid 5 with Oracle linux and they worked great for a backup solution.

Not the first one I've purchased and won't be my last. Great product from Seagate at the right price.

I haven't had any problems with the drive yet: it is working fine. It is of note, however, that only 1 TB is available of the 3. In order to use more, the manual states that special software has to be downloaded so it can be partitioned and the extra space made available. I haven't gotten around to doing that yet, so don't know how it works: but be aware that extra steps are required to get all that space.

The Seagate STBD3000100 internal hard drive was a great replacement for the primary hard drive in my HP desktop computer.

My windows 7 computer would not let all 3 TB become accessible . I could only use 2. Should have just purchased a 2 TB.

I used seagate for years and always found the product to out perform most others. I purchased this drive to upgrade from a one gigabyte seagate drive I also love the warranty they give, out of every seagate drive i owned, i only had one problem but seagate fix it.

This hard drive replaced my Hitachi 3TB hard drive in a computer I had built for me by HP. It died just out of warranty. Fortunately I had warning and saved data and have transferred the data to this newly installed HD by the Geek squad. I'm very happy with it.
