Drive is good. Has a lot of storage for what you plan on doing either for backups or gaming or everyday email reads. Been running good for some good time and probably will for as long as I own it.

7200 rpm with 64mb cache and definitely not a bad price!

Well it took a while but it seems Seagate has finally started putting out reliable products again. This drive has been performing great for the last few months and shows no signs of any issues.

I'd been a Western Digital fan since the day I bought this drive. I'd been skeptical at first as there had been a lot of negative feedbacks for Seagate in general, but I'm so glad now that I have this baby in my PC.

For 3TB internal at $100, I had to grab this, particularly since I needed a new disk to ease my dual booting my PC. I gave Windows 1TB of this and gave the rest to Mint Linux. If you have ever installed an internal SATA drive of any sort, this should offer you (almost) no surprises. (The mechanically challenged may puzzle over the physical mounting and there was not very explicit documentation about how to screw it in securely.) If you are partitioning this to be used by Windows and Linux, just partition the portion of the disk that you want Windows to use first and leave the rest unpartitioned. Then tell Linux it can have the rest during its installation. (I found Mint very easy to install after I succeeded in making a bootable CD-ROM.)

I have purchased several of these drives for my various desktop computers. I will continue to be a loyal Seagate customer and look forward to buying more of these drives in the future.

I was hesitant about buying this particular drive as recent Seagate purchases have failed within 6-12 months. My Western Digital hard drive purchases in the the same time frame have been rock solid reliable. We'll see how this Seagate goes.

Was going to buy a 2 tb but went with the 3 tb. No problems with the drive but my computer only recognizes 2. Not the drives fault, just the sales guy that I asked if it would work ok in my older computer. Drive is fast and works great.

Who cares about solid state drives, when you can have 3 TB for a lot less money? If you own a desktop, this is a no-brainier, especially if you have a HUGE steam library like I do :)

I installed this into my mac pro without an issue. Data transfers from it especially quickly. It has worked flawlessly since I bought it. Wish it was a little cheaper, but for three TB it was worth it.

Seagate drives have been very dependable in my experience. I have been editing video for over 15 years and I use Seagate drives regularly. This specific drive was a good balance of space and price.

I;m not a huge fan of Seagate because of past experience, but had small window to get a drive replacement and went with this. The drive has performed great. Quiet, doesn't get hot and is holding up nicely so far..
