I required a drive to consolidate all of my smaller drives, and this has fit the bill nicely. Spacious, reliable, and good transfer speeds. My only complaint was the price, but I'm sure that'll come down as larger drives are released.

I had no problem installing this hard drive in my computer. Formatting was no problem. The "hard" part was reinstalling all my software programs and transferring my personal files.

I went in to Best Buy planning to buy a Western Digital harddrive. But, changed my mind after reading the specs on the Seagate.I love this hard drive & with so much storage!!

I purchased the hard drive for more storage mainly videos and some games here and there. It works great and have no complaints. I know sea gate is a good company, so I'm confident in the quality.

Using in combination with a SSD in a mid-tier gaming PC to store my Steam library. Thus far, I have no complaints. This drive has performed well, and the price was right.

I've had almost a dozen of this model over the years and not a single failure. The ones that fail for people they must be kicking them around or soemething. fast and quiet.

Good, reliable hard drive with lots of space obviously

Numerous steam sales had ravaged not only my wallet but my storage space as well. Was looking for a larger replacement drive for sub $100 and this one fit the bill.

This was a very very good product. I would recommend.

Easy to Install. It comes with all hardware for easy installation. Depending on your version of Windows, you may have to download an update to allow your system to utilize all 3TB's.

I bought this for an external dual 2nd enclosure for Mac. I combined three hard drives into this one. Works flawlessly and very easy to get started. Highly recommended

Setup was very easy, like any other HDD. this HDD value for price is very good. I have actually bought 2 of them to replace old hard drives on a Dell T310 server.

The drive is working well and the large capacity is really nice. The first drive I received was defective and I was able to easily replace it by contacting Seagate. There was absolutely no hassle getting it replaced.

You can't do much better for the size and quality of this hard drive. If you're looking to expand or replace an existing hard drive, this is the one to go with.

Purchased for a second drive in my new Dell XPS windows 7 machine, was going to buy a 1tb drive but a 2tb at almost the same price changed my mind. install was quick and easy.

The drive works fine, except that under Windows 10 one can only access 2 GB of the 3 TB capacity. I wish I had known that in advance, as I would only have bought a 2 TB drive.

Purchased this for its compatibility with Mac OS X 10.5.8 and happy to report that it installed without a hitch. Did have occasion to call Seagate regarding another drive and noticed that they appear to be trying to reverse a previously earned reputation for poor customer service. To my surprise, customer service was excellent. Moral of the story: If you have sworn off Seagate for one reason or another, it may be time to try them again. If you are going to buy any of their products, look for the ones with the longer warranties (2 years as opposed to 1).

My computer was unable to recognize this hard drive. Even using the Windows 7 formatting disk, it only saw 128 GB of space on it. My computer was custom built (by someone else) in 2011, and the Geek Squad at Best Buy advised me that my mother board did not support 3 TB hard drives. I exchanged this for the 1 TB version of the same brand and had no problems at all. I'm not sure if the 3 TB hard drive is good, but be careful if you have an older motherboard.

This is a great hard-drive. It was easy to work. It also comes with great instructions. I've been looking for a good one and I finally think I found it.
