    I have not used the software. It comes apart really easy if you want to take the 3.5" HDD out, which is what I bought it for. Drive is a ST3000DM001

    Works well, however setup for 3tb requires a download and a little careful follow through to get full capacity recognized by older BIOS system.

    I wish they were 7200 RPM, but if you're looking for long term storage spped isn't the biggest factor. Great drive at a great price.

    Bought this Hard drive in December 2015 and just got around to unboxing it to put it in my computer and all that was in the box was the hard drive without the cables to plug the hard drive in and the power cable that was suppose to be inside the box... Where did my cables go? I don't know if the hard drive is dead or if it works fine because the cables are missing.. Disappointing to say the least.
