Use these for a camera sever don't have very many issues with them

Will buy again. Product adds value to my other equipment.

It works. No failures so far. It's just your typical average large capacity SATA drive. I have not really stress tested it, nor had it very long. The main thing I liked was I was able to pick up the device locally, come home, pop it in and transfer off a 2TB drive.....available space was an issue.

I dont have any problems so far so good as of 2017

I needed a replacement hard drive, the shelf was basically empty except for this one. There were slots for less expensive ones, but nothing in stock. And barely a month into its use, grinding noises. Time to find a better place to get a drive.

I have this drive connected my primary router, next to the modem and my first computer. My laptop won't recognize it as having any memory when connected directly to it (32 bit os) I think is the problem and my daughter's computer is connected to the second of three routers. won't even see the drive because of a windows 10 feature which views the drive as unsafe now that an older app version 1 has been replaced with a version 2. Windows 10 has automatically deleted the first version. This is my newest computer bought less than a year ago with windows 10 already installed (64 bit tower HP).

These drives have a high capacity and are priced reasonably. Would have given it 5 stars, but out of the 3 drives I purchased for a raid 5 setup, one drive died within 3 months. The rest have been fine so far, but only time will tell...

Don't want to discourage anyone I have several Seagate drives that are great but this only registered 500gig of 3tb something wrong with some of the platters. Returned it and bought an external.

I built a new computer and installed the HD. The OS would not pick it up and I ended up returning it since it was not working. I will not purchase another Seagate HD.

I bought this thinking it would fit into the computer I recently bought. Come to find out the PC only has the SSHD and I could not use this.

Unfortunately Best Buy has this item but Seagate is having severe problems with partitions and this drive will only show as 768gb in allocated.

Replaced defective 1TB internal hard drive with this drive and it would not allow the full capacity on my Windows 7 machine.

They work until they fail, then you get an RMA, which eventually fails and can't be replaced again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Ok bargain drive. Backup/Mirror software doesn't work if your previous drive has bad sectors. It will stall on you.
