Always trust Seagate

Seagate Always Good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to replace another drive on my MacPro due to overuse and age and I immediately go to Seagate for a replacement as their drives are always great units. Let's face it, HDDs are mechanical, can mechanical things eventually fail, usually when you least expect it, but I found the Seagate drives tend to last a bit longer than the competition. Bought from Best Buy for a great price on sale. Though, don't expect any of the in store associates to know anything. They don't.

Excellent Drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this not realizing I couldn't install an operating system on it so this is just a storage drive which allowed me to free up space on my original drive. Because of the limitations of my non-EFI/UEFI mother board BIOS and Windows 32 bit 2.2TB limit the drive would not format to full capacity! Buyer beware!!! This problem is solved by setting the drive as raid storage in BIOS and formatting as GPT in Windows, doing this makes it so windows cannot boot from this drive!

Great drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it, fast, huge, but I am used to setting up my drives without the software that comes with the drives & with this drive because of it's size, windows would not recognize the whole partion so I had to use the enclosed software. After that widows saw the drive & I was on my way.

seagate drives are reliable

Near enterprise class level hard drive

These were priced the same as some Green Drives, obviously these are much better. I've been using these drives for over 2 years and have not had 1 3TB unit fail yet.
