No problem installing, everything for hardware installation was in the box, but the migration software for Windows 7 did not work. It formatted the drive ok but it would not boot to Windows from the drive. Took hours to find the problem and reload the software. Could not find in the software provided how to re-partition the drive. The software set up two 2 Gb partitions. Since I had to reload Windows I upgraded to Windows 8 which it works very well with.

Problems getting windows 7 to recognize the drive

First One Went Back
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite being an IT Consultant and even having a Seagate tech on my machine, the first one went back because we both thought it was faulty out of the box, but that happens from time to time. Haven't had an issue since I installed the replacement.

Definitely plan on getting another two or three at least.
