4TB drive used in Ext USB 3.0 Docking Station

In fact, I have dual 4TB drives in my BlacX Duet 5G Snow Edition HDD Docking Station. I think Best Buy has stopped carrying Thermaltake's BlacX Duet 5G.

GREAT HARD DRIVE! Plug and Play!

Another great Seagate

There was some confusion in the store, and they price matched this to someone else for $140, when that drive was a lesser model. I'm using it as a storage drive for videos, and the read speed is perfect. I've got this in with two 6TB drives, and it doesn't even try to hiccup.

Slow drive

The Hitachi is 7200 RPM and very fast response and wake. This is slower in all aspects. Pay the little bit more and get the speed demon. I also have 6 of the Hitachis in a synology server.

Quality control problems
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I could just have bad luck, but I'm returning my third hard drive in three days. All three that I've had have failed Seagate's SeaTools long tests with bad sectors right out of the box. I've even went as far as getting different hard drives from different Best Buys just to see if it was a bad batch problem. If you do buy one of these, do yourself a favor and test it before you put any data on it.
