Love that memory has come down in price. And Seagate is very reliable in my experience too.

I have 4 of these hard drives in a raid 10 configuration. They outperform WD Green and Blue (which also have a slower spindle speed of 5400 RPM as opposed to 5900 on this Seagate) while typically costing less (make sure to take advantage of Best Buy's price matching policy). If you have extra money to burn then WD Red/Black would certainly outperform this drive but it's up to you if you want to spend the extra $$.

Does what is says, dominates with speed, reliability, and ease of install. Seagate ho!!

I use a number of these hard drives per year - as external master backups for me various editing projects. Always solid work horses. Highly recommended for PC and Mac.

This is my secondary drive. Price/Performance is excellent and it is fast and quiet.

Bought this to put in computer to store videos on. This is not the fault of the drive but buyers should be aware that Windows cannot use beyond 2GB with NTFS formatting. You have to download utility from Seagate and use the utility to format drive before Windows with see all 4GB. So far drive is performing well it is not heavily used so I cannot give any performance stats. I have had good success with Seagate drives and if this lasts as long as other Seagate products I will be satisfied with it. Wish price had been a little cheaper but it was cheaper than using multiple 2GB drives to reach the same storage capacity.

Upgraded to this one, price was nice and easy to install. Good product!

Good Harddrive. Installed in a custom desktop a few months ago and works well so far. Installation was a bit tricky, but that was to blame on me and the computer.

Hmmm... I wrote a long review on this item recently.... Short version... I am a Seagate user and own at least 4 of their harddrives. Overall, I am happy with all of them. Just know... It may say 4TB on the box, but you will only get maybe 3.63TB if you are using a Windows PC. It was not a dealbreaker for me, but I am annoyed as I am not getting what is advertised. At the same time, I am happy with the performance and that is what is really important and hopefully they will fix that other problem at some point.

I bought this HDD for my 2008 Mac Pro to use as the main drive for iTunes so I can stream on my Apple TV. Works perfect, no noise, easy install and that's basically it. It's relatively new so no problems thus far.

Great drive for the price! I had to make some adjustments to get it to work in Windows7 but other than that an excellent 3.8gig drive

I have a few edit systems all with internal raid drives. I bought this drive to replace a cheaper model that was about to die after 2years. This one is perfect if you need a reliable high end drive that won't break after a couple years.

I had a 3TB version of this stop working after about 4 years. I was still able to get most of my data off the old one. Needed a new one, BB had a good price on the 4TB version so I picked it up at my local store. So far everything has been great. Fast to transfer my data back to the drive, it's been working speedy ever since!

After a hard drive crash - Geek Squad got my computer back up and running complete with Microsoft Office software.

As SSD's become cheaper and cheaper, the only relevant HDDs are these large >2TB ones. Granted, Seagate is all Best Buy carries in-store, but it's a quality brand. No issues with these last two.
