Purchased this to provide backup on my I Mac and free up some space on the I Mac. Easy to use right out of the box. The guy at Best Buy said the amount of storage on this would be plenty. He does graphic design on the side and still has not used all the space up on his.

Preferred it over other external drive for mainly two reason - sleek and compact (portable) & metal casing that I feel is better from durability point of view. Is fast and nice, no issues faced till date, happy with the purchase. 1 TB space means I can back up everything from my 1 TB laptop. That's enough space for my needs.

This product is great for backing up my MacBook Pro with Apple's Time Machine software. I purchased this external hard drive about a year ago. I also created a partition as a safe place to keep particularly important files that I'll need later. No complaints. The product does exactly what I expected and is exactly what I need.

Very good small and slim Light weight . Pretty shape

This is a good product and before you buy this I advise that you fully understand the difference between a back up and an external hard drive. If I read more carefully I would have went for the latter..I am not too fond of this product but I do recommend it for people who are looking for a good back up device.

I needed a reliable back-up external hard drive for music, gopro videos, and photo albums. A terabyte seems like a lot, and it is but at least now I can save everything and not worry about hard drive space. It was so easy to install, just plug-n-play and then drag and drop. I enjoyed it so much that I just purchased a second one.

Backup Plus Slim is just that - much smaller with more storage than my previous backup. It initially installed okay, but didn't update as expected. I discovered that my existing USB ports were not the minimum 2.0 which I thought they were so I had a USB 3.0 port installed and it worked great after that correction.

Easy to use and hook up, nice slim profile and light

This drive was very easy to use and get setup. I did not use it to backup a pc but rather a couple of network drives. I was able to easily select the files I needed and have them copied to the drive. I have been able to access the files as well as open and modify the files. This drive performs perctly for me every time.

I bought this to backup my photos while on a recent trip. This Seagate fit easily in a small pocket of my backpack. Easy to use. Portable. Very quick downloads, back home I transferred an entire 300G hard drive from an old laptop in less than 10 min.

First things first, I'm a fan of Seagate; great data recovery, great warranty (longer than most other HDD manufacturers out there), and premium product. With regard to this drive: it's nice and slim, feels light (which was more of a con to me) and I use it as a dependable back up drive. That said, I opted for a lower priced competitor's drive for my go-to for media storage (I'm a videographer); the other drive seemed more robust in housing design.

After comparing all the hard drive options in my Best Buy Store, I chose this one, because it was compact, durable and can be used between multiple devices. The price was decent and it was easier to set up and use than I imagined. I would recommend this brand. Don't forget to buy a hard shell carry case to keep it protected.

This portable hard drive is great. I use it to store all of my movies and music on as a back up drive. I havent even put a dent in the space on this thing. Highly recommend to those who want to get their stuff out of the cloud and off of their computer hard drives. This thing is a space saver in more ways than one.

Bought this to store recordings from my Channel Master DVR. Device was recognized when plugged in the USB and works perfect. I purchased the 1 Tb, but the 2 Tb is an even better deal, just didn't need to save 300+ hours of TV. It's very small and portable if you were looking to use it as easy mobile storage.

The price, the durability, the out of the box plug and play, windows 7 and 10 compatible, Seagate name and quality, small size, and no external power supply needed. I use the first one to backup my computer. The second is for the pictures, music, videos, files I share or use on someone else's computer.

This external hard drive is exceptional in storage, function and portability. It was very easy to start using with very minimal research on it. It has a large amount of storage and is so handy to be able to take it anywhere being that it's small enough to fit in your purse, backpack or pocket even.

Wanted something more tangible than a flash drive to back up my work. This fits in your pocket and works great. Takes up less room than a bunch of flash drives cluttering your desk drawer -- and you won't waste time frantically checking flash drives for that important file you needed five minutes ago.

I purchased this unit to expand the memory of my Xbox one and I love the fact that it tucks away behind and never have to worry about it after it was formated.
