I bought this external drive because as o read the reviews on it it said it was light and easy to use. I decided to buy it and in deed it is easy to use on Mac computers.

I have real trouble rating a hard disk drive after such a short time in use. With only one exception over decades of experience, the only problems I have ever had with an HDD has been after months or (more often) years of use. This drive works when new the way one expects a new drive to work, but I simply haven't had it long enough to assess its reliability over time. I can't tell whether it works as fast as a USB 3.0 interface allows because I have only used it on computer with USB 2.0 interface. The included backup software seems clunky, but that may be because I am not used to it. I like Seagate because of years of good experience with the brand.

Just plugged it in in either 2.0/3.0 works great, small compact, easy to carry around. Haven't tried the seagate dashboard application as yet so I can't comment on that.

Needed a backup hard drive, and got this for a steal. Can't argue with the price. It works just fine.

bought primarily to make room in my computer and I found it to work great as I jump back and forth easily enough as if all my data was still in my computer, but runs a lot faster. Needless to say the Seagate - Backup Plus 2TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive works just fine.

This is a friendly to use drive. It works great and the amount of info that can be stored is amazing.

Initially had a little difficulty being able to set it up for my Mac. Once set up it was easy to back-up.
