Happy with it so far. I'm using it as a Hybrid backup location along with online storage. My last Seagate external lasted several years and then failed without warning, losing all my family photos. Seagate recovery managed to recover the entire drive (for $600). The lesson to learn here is that no matter what brand you buy, make sure it isn't your only backup.

Thought this was a "NEW" STDR2000100
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I thought Best Buy was selling a "NEW" STDR2000100 for $69.99, and already owning one, having great experience with it's reliability and the life of the device, I thought I'd buy it from Best Buy. Unfortunately, Best Buy didn't really sell me a "NEW" Seagate Backup Plus drive. This one had apparently already been opened, and resealed, as if it were refurbished. And also, the box it was sold to me in was OLD. It was missing the advertisement, and information on how to access my FREE 200 GB of Cloud Storage through Seagate for 2 Years (if activated by June 30, 2017). Upon bringing this back to Best Buy, and explaining to them what's going on, they just took it back. They didn't offer to exchange it for a new one.
