For very confidential info, you can backup and not worry about posting this type of info to the "cloud". Put it in a fire safe or a safety deposit box for added security.

Started to die (after 1.5 years)

Recently, my 2 TB HDD decided to rise up against me and develop some bad sectors... and by "some," I mean 15,000+ which isn't much (~4,000,000,000 sectors in total), but has rendered it useless. And to be fair, the darn thing doesn't even have fans, so it lasted a year longer than anticipated.

Seagate Backup Plus 2TB

I guess I'm getting used to solid state drives, but I wish this was even faster. I highly recommend this drive as it is inexpensive and just works great on Win7 or 8.1.

A quality drive with a small footprint
