I tore this apart and made it work in a PS4. Cheap alternative. You only need to pry loose the glue, remove the cover, untape the drive from the control interface and remove it. If done gently the PS4 drive can be replaced into the caddy doing the above steps backward and replacing the cover for a 500GB backup drive when you are finished. All of this voids the Backup Plus 2TB so test it before you begin and go into this knowing you are at your own risk. But it was very simple.

So this slim little guy is only 4.5 x 3 inches and only a 1/2 inch thick. It takes up hardly any room and weighs less than a cellphone. WIth 2 TB on tap through a USB 3.0 port, writing and reading files from t his drive is really quick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I put all of my movies onto this drive so i can access them through a USB 3.0/Lightning cable for my iphone/pad and another USB 3.0/2.0 to be able to have access to all of these files on long car trips through my vehicles entertainment system. Buy it because you know you need it / want it / can use it / kids will need their media / for quiet car rides / because that space is awesome / because USB 3.0 ......

As my title says, this has great storage capacity for the price. It's compact design, makes it truly a great backup solution for those of us on the go. No power cord required. Just plug into a USB port. You can choose to set it up to auto backup and you can manually add files. I will purchase another.

I ran out of space to run my virtual machines for school on my MacBook. This solved the problem :) I now have over 100GB free on my MacBook when I was previously running out of hard drive space. Easy to use, lightweight, and super-portable. I haven't had any problems, and it's easy to navigate.

I bought this hard drive to use with my Xbox One. I was running low on free space and needed additional storage for games/updates. It has been working just fine so far! I opted for the 2TB so that I won't have to worry about running out of free space for a long time. I definitely recommend this product to anyone needing more storage. There is no need to spend more money on the green, Xbox One branded hard drive. It's the exact same, only it comes pre-formatted to work with the Xbox One. Your Xbox One will automatically format any hard drive when you plug it in anyway.

This was the third external portable hard drive I've bought. One was a gift. They're easy to use and a convenient way to store family photos and videos, music, downloaded media. You can bring to a family or friends reunion, connect to a tv and share great memories. Excellent for work too.

I had an earlier Seagate that I thought was time to upgrade. I bought a Toshiba back up drive, but it kept coming on requesting to do a restore. Sent it back. I figured that over the years, the Seagate brand had treated me well and might as well stick with the brand. No mistake. It is very simple to update and to program what and when to back up. It works on either USB 3.0 or 2.0. It is powered by the USB cable, no electrical cord needed, an added plus!

I have several external hard drives and the Seagate's my favorite because it's light and holds a lot and since I have several computers including laptops it stores easily for trips. No problems with set up and works very well. Don't let the size fool you! It holds as much as the "My Book" by WD!

This is a very nice portable drive. Small, lightweight, and fast with USB 3.0. I got a good price during Black Friday 2014 from Best Buy so I felt it was worth it. It comes with backup software but I have not experimented with it. I would recommend this if your looking for a portable hard drive.

The Seagate Backup is a small and convenient way to back up all your music pictures and important work. The derive comes with an adequate cable for connection and is pretty much self-loading as far as software ready to use in minutes. Good Price and Good Product.

I bought this for all my pictures and music just In case something happened to my laptop and it works perfect I have so much on it already and still have a lot of space left it is slim and durable and connects right away you can even plug it in to any tv with a USB port and use it on there too

My laptop was acting up and I needed something to backup all of my files/documents/pictures (just in case). I have an older Seagate external HD but it was in another city and was almost 4x the size of Plus with a 1/4 of the capacity (so not really portable). So, I went for this which is small enough that I can take it wherever I go, as needed. Works well and syncs great with TimeMachine so I just plug it in and don't have to think about it.

It is a beautiful little external USB drive, yet packed with 2TB of storage. It is small, light-weight, and easy for carry around. Only use it sparingly and so far so good.

I bought this product not only to back up my computer, but to also get some of the pictures off my computer that I have to keep in my line of work. Easy to set up and easy to use. Put 8,000 pictures on it and haven't even scratched the surface of the memory. Would highly recommend this product.

I am always needing additional hard drive storage space that is removable. I store different types of data on different drives. This fits the bill. The USB 3 has amazing speed both in backing up data and just in everyday use of data. The small size is perfect for my computing space.

Loads upon loads of storage in a compact space. Perfectly mobile, and no power cord needed. Just plug into your computer with the usb cord and it's good to go. Got all my family photos, music and documents all safely backed up and room for more. Exactly what I was searching for.

I download a lot of movies but I didn't want to fill up space on my laptop. This way I can keep all my movies on the external hard drive and have them with me when I need them. Transferring movies back and forth is very fast and the hard drive is small and light enough to travel with.

Hubby is an insurance adjuster and he takes a lot of pictures. This external hard drive is 2TB and should be enough for him and his partner a while. It's portable so they can take it with them and work out in the field.

Seagate really has its act together with its current line of USB hard drives. Small, light, and thin -- they have maximum capacities with minimum bulk. I have been buying USB hard drives for what must be two decades by now, and I just won't buy anything but Seagate's current line nowadays. I haven't ever had a problem with any of the drives I've purchased, and I have quite a few of them. My use for this drive -- and a couple of others -- is to attach to a couple of media playback devices, and that's where another Seagate feature comes into play: I'll often use my playback devices to stream media, rather than playing media from the drives, so I want the drives to spin down and "go to sleep" when they're not being used. And that's something that you can control by downloading and installing Seagate's "Dashboard" software, which allows you to specify if and when you'd like the drive to go to sleep -- after some time of inactivity. That fits my needs absolutely perfectly. I have other Seagate drives serving duty with my notebook computers -- they are so thin and light that I can carry them in my notebook carrying bags, without increasing the weight or bulk hardly at all. I recommend them highly.

I bought the HDD TO upgrade my PS4 works great no problems and then used the enclosure and put the OEM HDD from the PS4. Now my PS4 has 2TB and I have 500G portable HDD
