It took 14 hrs for the initial backup of 201 GB of a 1 TB drive. It does not require a separate power connection which is a nice attribute. I have not been able to test the restore capability. I previously used Windows 7 backup which I could not restore from on my new PC

Works great, easy to install all you have to do is remove the casing. Would highly recommend this as it is cheaper than an internal hard drive that does the same thing.

It was easily partitioned with the Mac and shuffled back and forth. I also really liked that it comes with the 200 GB OneDrive bonus. .Although that is not enough cloud storage to back up the drive it is helpful for me for an additional back up of video data.
