Perfect for my photos!

They're practical easy to use and lots of room on them for raw files. I do have one issue with the hard drives, the cord that connects the hard drive to the computer sometimes breaks down and wears loose and doesn't fit tight so any movement of the laptop or the hard drive makes it shut down and come back on frequently.. you just can't move it around. But that is my only issue. Other than that I love them. I gave one to my son.

Fast while it lasts...warranty RMA sucks

It has been connected to my Xbox One since that day. I moved all of my games to the drive in anticipation of picking up my Xbox One X next month. I woke up two days ago to a dead HDD. I tried to launch a game and they were all missing. 1.6tb of games gone. Seagate will replace it under warranty but requires the customer to pay for shipping on the return device and are very strict about packaging. Return shipping will cost upwards of $25. Then it is a 3-4 week lead time on getting my replacement. While failure isn't guaranteed, I couldn't suggest this drive to others for the reasons listed above. Spend the extra money and get a WD drive instead.

Solid External Storage Solution!

Great flexibility in being able to use drive for Windows and Mac based PC's....I haven't tested it, but I believe this can be done simultaneously which is great in my household where wife is a Mac/Apple girl and I'm Windows/Android. Product doesn't get 5 stars due to "clunky" installation/set-up instructions, not real user friendly as you are back and forth between limited paper instructions provided and on-line instructions.
