So far this has been a great exenal hard drive. I love that it is usb powered and so small and lightweight. The only thing I haven't cared for so far is that formatting to the Mac was not automatic and had to do this before could be used with the Mac (at least in my case - who knows if I didn't do something right, but...). Anyhow after googling how to format it for Mac has worked like a charm.

This is a very good drive for the price. Mainly designed for laptop users. This drive can easily go from home to anywhere you go. It's relatively quiet in operation. It doesn't heat up that much even after sustained(1 hour) writing to the disk. Seagate drives have always been rock solid in my usage. Remember not to drop it or place on a slick surface, as there is no gripping surface on the drive. Almost all drives get damaged when dropped, or in this case, sat on or heavy objects place on top of it. Overall a great drive at a great price. Hopefully Best Buy will recieve a a 4TB version.

The Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB Portable Hard Drive is a compact and slim external hard drive (great for business travelers) that works well with my MacBook Pro's Time Machine right out of the box. I bought the silver color, which goes great with my MacBook Pro. The Seagate is very easy to set up and use, plug the cable that comes with it into your computer's USB and set your Time Machine to backup on the Seagate. I bought this external hard drive because my MacBook Pro Retina Display was running out of storage space and the Seagate has 2TB storage so it will last me for a while.

Able to back up 2 laptops, which took up 1/10 of the storage. Can't wait to back up our old desk top so we can get rid of it! The external drive is super light weight and portable. Easy enough to carry around like a flash drive if you need to!

This product is great! Had a older portable hard drive with 500gb. This one has 2TBs and I love it. I am a teacher so I have a lot of worksheets, quizzes and test that I am able to plug in and print off. This product exceeds my expectations.

This was just what I was looking for. I needed some extra hard drive space for my Xbox one. 2 TB is plenty now I don't have to worry about deleting any of my games. Works GREAT and price is awesome. I have recommended this product to fellow gamer's .

Purchased as a gift for my step-son, and so far a a very reliable storage device with high capacity. He appreciates the fact he doesn't need to carry extra power cords or power bricks because the unit also can use bus power provided from the USB port.

First time to buy this type of product. We weren't sure how easy this would be to add, and how much space it would take up......Worked out great! So easy to add and blends in without taking up too much room. Price was good, had good reviews.

We purchased this for use with my son's Xbox One. He transferred many of his games and saves to the drive, and has had no issues whatsoever. His Xbox drive is now free to load the games that he is playing, and they run much more smoothly now.

Great price for 2tb. Works right out of the box. Can be partitioned for hard drive back ups, and everyday storage needs. Works with both Macs and PCs.

Bought to up the storage capacity on my sons PS4 and it was a breeze to install and has been working wonderfully since we got it several months back. Recommend highly.

I chose this hard drive because it was slimmer than the other options available and was also a great price. Although I did have one minor technical problem with the external hard drive just after set up, since then it has worked perfectly.

I owned quite a few WD hard drives and unfortunately the reliability is sub par. Even thought they carry a good warranty of several years, once you loose your hard drive, you essentially lost your data. If you want to restore your data, WD will NOT assume the costs for data restorstion It can cost upwards of $500.00 to $900.00. I know this from experience. Every Seagate HD I owned never failed and faithfully withstood the test of time and use. Highly recommend this particular one due to it's slim size and fast data access. Keep up the good work- Seagate!

Purchased as additional storage for Xbox One. Easy to install-console did all of the work. I also own the 1TB version used as PC backup. Reliable and easy to use. Highly recommended.

The Seagate - Backup Plus 2TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive is an excellent product. It is just what I needed to back up my computer. It was easy to install, which is a giant plus for me, as I am NOT a techy. Good price, great item!

This drive is so easy to use and lightweight and compact. It hold a lot of data. Getting a protective case is a must!

This Seagate hard drive so far has been trouble free. It will fit in most of my shirt pockets. The drive unit is thin and light weight making it almost invisible when being carried and not a burden. Very happy so far with this purchase. :)

I used to have other external HD from other brands and I decided to give a chance to have a new one, a portable one from Seagate. This Seagate HD here is my third Seagate Portable HD! I use for personal and working issues. I definitely recommend the product for all users. It has an incredible performance when it comes to keep data safe and copy files from Flash Drives or notebook (I use with my Mackbook), very fast and no delays. Love to have Seagate products, it was a good choice. Price is fair, amazing quality.

Although I have a 1TB Xbox One model, I knew sooner or later I would run out of space. Bought this last year and it has performed exceptionally. For the number of games I have, I still have about 1.75 TB left to utilize. Highly recommended.

I got this Seagate 2TB drive on Black Friday, very happy with it, small to fit in my suitcase and 2TB is huge for me saving all the family photos and more. The USB 3.0 interface makes it transfer files very fast. Absolutely recommended.
