I thought about getting the 1TB and decided on the 2TB because there wasn't much of a difference in price. It's just what I need for backups and great to put movies on when I travel.

I love the slim, elegant, light design... no complaints so far, I have loaded all my videos and photos from my PC with just a few clicks.

This drive was quick and easy to set up and use. It came with all the necessary cabling and instructions. I've used Seagate drives for over 10 years and never had issues with any of them.

I prefer Seagate products over the competitors. The storage space is easy to use. I like the size and durability for traveling. It fits easy into a smaller pocket in my bag and travels well

Very easy to use. This is my first external hard drive and I had no problems with set up or using. There's plenty of space and I won't be needing another one for a very long time!

I thought this is a great deal for 2 TB and USB 3. Great solution for my brand-new retina MacBook Pro with 1 TB internal drive. Lots of room to grow for time machine. However, I can't tell if it's the hard drive or something in OS X 10.10.4 that is causing the drive to eject when connected for too long.

I had initially bought a Toshiba 3 TB hard drive and after one day of use this started making a loud clicking sound. The sound would stop for a second when I moved The hard drive around then start again minutes later. I return to the store to switch out and came across this product decide to give Seagate a try. I like how it's much slimmer compact and feels of a higher-quality I have enjoyed using it and did not mind the price point. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking for an external hard drive.

I researched portable hard drives. My computer is dying and I didn't want to lose the pictures, writings and instructions that I had downloaded over the years. This hard drive was recommended in a number of places/articles as the best for your money with tons of storage capacity. Turns out that my daughter bought the exact same one without us even talking to each other. I bought the black one, didn't see a reason to spend $20 extra dollars to get one in silver or another color - its the inside that was important.

Very slim and compact design. Excellent amount of storage space; great price; works great!

Portable, light weigth and easy to use. I've been lookig for somthimg like this for a long time. I finally got what was jusr a fit for my need. Highly recommended. Good capacity.

You can store so much with this small portable disk drive. I personally added it to extend the memory on my Xbox One, but there are several uses for it around any electronic device.

The actual size of the device is smaller than my Galaxy S4! Very easy to use the back up as a drag and drop drive as needed or you can program the device to back up on a given schedule.

Even though while going into the store the sales member that I spoke to was less than helpful, I knew exactly what I was looking for and was able to get what I needed and price match with amazon for $10 less than Best Buy asking price. Here is how the conversation went: Me- "Hey I'm looking for this model number to upgrade my hard-drive for my PS4" BB Employee- "yeah hard-drives are over there" Me- "Ok This is the model number that I'm looking for. Is this a 2.5 format size? BB Employee- "Oh I have no idea. Are you ready to check out? Me- "I will be in a second I'm just going to confirm the format size and then take a look at some PS4 games." BB Employee- "Well this is an external hard-drive and you can just hook this up to your PS4 that way." Me- "PS4's don't support external hard-drives so I would have to open it up and install it that way." BB Employee- "That is impossible. external hard-drives are formatted completely different than regular internal HDD's" Me- "Nevermind I know how to do it using this model. You can go help other customers because I'm buying this and just want to look at the new PS4 games and will be at the register in a few minutes." BB Employee- "The store is closing in 5 minutes so decide quick" Me- "I'll take my time because I'm spending at least $90 at your store." I was right and this EE was rude.

Hard to believe I get 2 TB out of this drive that's slimmer than a deck of cards. Great for the "coffice". Works right out of the box. Had it for about 2 months with no problems.

Bought this after searching for a larger hd for my PS4. Easy to take apart and install into the PS4. There are guides on YouTube if needed but it's pretty simple and straight forward. I have had this for over a month now and haven't had any problems so far. It's working better than the much older 1tb hd I had in before. You probably won't notice much of a difference in performance if you had the stock hd but the space makes it worth it. So overall it's a less expensive/cheap, whichever you prefer, upgrade to the stock PS4/3 hd. Sorry I can't comment on its uses as an external drive, but hope this helps those looking to upgrade their PS4/3 hd.

This is a nice small drive with a lot of space and not a lot of money. I'm using it in a Storage Pool connected to Server 2012. I was able to add it to the pool just like any other HDD.

I really need a portable external hard drive, and I'm really happy I bought this. Its small that I can carry it around when I need to. I got it on sale and its well worth the price.

This portable hard drive is light in weight, great in performance and most importantly - its reliable. Definitely recommend it.

Love the quality of Seagate products. the price was excellent for this as well. Very slim design and I like the fact that it only uses one USB instead of the two that some use.

This is my second purchase of the same portable hard drive. Samsung must of change there logo because my 1st purcahse had a different Samsung logo on it. The material is the same; it is plastic and not metal. It does what it says and is reliable. It comes with backup software for Windows and OSX; also available online to download. What I like about this drive compare to others is that Samsung has a driver online you can download on your OSX to write to NTFS format, but it will only work with this type of drive. I use both OS and makes it convenient. The backup software works fine, but no encryption software to go with it.
