Plug it in, format it, then store stuff on your 1.8TB external and take it everywhere! Bought 2 of these during the back to school sale AND while these were on sale themselves. Open package, plug it in, format it in maybe a minute or 2, and you're ready to go. Small enough to fit in your pocket, sturdy metal and plastic construction.

After formatting and setting this up with Apple's TimeMachine, I sometimes forget that this little guy is there. I basically set it, and forget it! Saved me a ton of heartache when my machine's hard drive kept wiping itself! It's currently velcroed to the underside of my laptop riser saving my desktop space!

This hard drive is great for the Xbox one or ps4. It comes already set up and adds plenty of hard drive space. With new games taking up to 30 gigs of space on your internal hard drive having an external hard drive is almost a requirement. And an with an external hard drive you won't void your warranty by replacing the internal drive.

Bought this device to expand my storage in my video gaming device and it was very simple to set up. The price was great for 2TB and I have no regrets. Even though the device is small to carry, I would suggest getting some type of stand to put it on. It doesn't get hot or hasn't yet for me and I've stored and use it hours each day.

After having a backup drive fail and unable to be revived I decided to look into a different brand to replace it. Having used another Seagate drive for other duties I knew how reliable and portable they were. This drive has met and exceeded my expectations and does a great job of backing up and storing my most important files.

easy to set up, small and portable. works like a charm

I was looking for a new backup drive for my home PC as my previous unit stopped working. I saw several units at Best Buy and this offered the best value for the size storage with the minimum extras. There was no bloat-ware which often accompanies other drives and the unit was up and running in minutes. Very good device and value.

Everything about this external drive is awesome, only thing is the software on my computer has some kind of glitch/error. Every time I turn on my computer it gives me a message if I want to send the data from the error to Seagate. Not sure if I didn’t something wrong, so this could totally be user error!
