I need to back up every day, and I don't want to have to jump through a lot of technical hoops to do it. The Seagate Backup I bought goes right into my USB port. I can even set it to only backup what has changed since the last backup, which saves a lot of time. I can't believe how small these external drives have become - the first 1TB I bought years ago cost a hundred bucks and was the size of a large VHS tape, only much heavier (it was portable in the way a large encyclopedia is portable!). My Seagate has twice the capacity, is about 1/8 the size, and cost 40% less. And it literally fits in my pocket.

There's not a lot to say. It's small, it doesn't need power, and it works. I format them and use them as extended storage. I haven't had a problem with a Seagate portable drive yet.

A decent backup option for your personal files. I have a MacBook with SSD and I needed a secondary storage for the files I don't use very often. With my DSLR camera, I produce tens of GBs of files every month. Google Drive or other cloud providers are good for few GBs of storage and for sharing but if you are looking to safely store hundreds of GBs of files and don't really intend to share it's an excellent purchase. It's plug and play device for both Windows and Mac but you can't use it on both OS simultaneously because of file system formatting limitations. Good news is they've bundled NTFS software for Mac to overcome this limitation. If you want to be little adventurous and you have a WiFi router which supports network storage you can easily configure a shared network drive within your house to save and access files from this external drive using multiple devices.

Easy to use and such a small device for a large amount of storage!

I purchased this to do a full back-up of my computer, with periodic partial back-ups. This product worked right away & with no problems. Love the plug-n-play & usb 2.0/3.0 features. This 2TB was plenty enough for me & it has a nice small & sleek look to it.

Ample storage space (2 TB), ease of use & set up make this a good buy.

Works great with my xbox one. I was originally going to buy the one designed for xbox but read the reviews and researched to find out it is the same drive without the xbox logo. All you need to do is plug it in to the xbox and format the driver. After that it is ready to use.

Bought this Seagate back up device upon advice from a tech junkie, when I realized that all of the little flash drives that I use may not last forever, may be lost, or could just stop working, leaving me with nothing. So now I use this to back up and archive everything I have. I never store anything on my computer, so this works well. I have thousands of pictures, reports, and even some movies, and I still haven't even made a dent in the 2TB storage capacity. Very simple and easy to set up and use. Transfer of files is extremely easy. One of my best purchases.

I actually used this hard drive to swap out into my ps4 to give it a 2 TB hard drive. This is the correct size to be able to do that. This has been a fast and reliable hard drive for that and I would highly recommend this one if you're looking to replace your stock hard drive.

I use this drive to store copies of movies in high definition. The image quality is much better than on conventional DVDs and I can view these films on my smart HDTV. I estimate that this drive can store up to 100 films of 2.5 hours in length each.

Got it during Black Friday sale to use as an external hard drive for the Xbox One and it worked as advertised. Plugged it right into the Xbox and the Xbox recognized it and formatted it for use. Was able to get p to 1.7TB of available storage for use.

I really love the fact that is so light weight, easy program for the backup program, easy to create new folders and organize everything, documents, pictures, music, etc. :) I'm very happy I bought it!!! Too much capacity!! Awesome price!! I got it for 79 dlls before black friday!!

I bought 2 Seagate Drives and use them as backup storage for my desktop computer. With a terabyte of storage, I can fit all the data on my desktop to the Seagate HD. They provide software, but I use other software for backup (Genie) so I can't comment on their software.

This is one of multiple Seagate external drives I have purchased for myself and my family members. I trust this brand and have experienced very reliable performance from every one of these products. I bought this particular 2 TB external for my son to use with his MacBook Pro to replace a Lacie “rugged” 2 TB drive that he purchased for himself and that failed. I am, for better or worse, the tech “go-to” guy for my wife and kids. So, when something goes wrong, I get the call. That’s one reason I use Seagate drives exclusively. They just work better for me.

Bought this based on price vs storage and was not disappointed. What more can you say, it works. Only complaint is that my computer can't take advantage of the USB 3.0 transfer rate so things are slow to copy but that's the fault of my computer, not this storage device.

I bought this external hard drive to put on my Xbox One. My Xbox One came with 1 TB of space but since you have to download your games to play them. Free space would go quick. So I added the hard drive to get a total of 3 TB for my Xbox. Plus it won't slow my Xbox down.

I love how much room this has, and how small it is. I like the portability of the product. I can keep this in my bag, and it is light to move around
