This Portable HDD is perfect for those who like to take their music or movie collection with them. It is also just a good for saving business information and other savable items. I would suggest anyone get this HDD for traveling with or jusdt save space at home.

Light, small and with great capacity! All the things i just want to see in a storage device!!

First time doing anything like this. Followed the instructions on line. Replaced the original 500gb drive perfect fit. And saved $ in the process.

Got this drive as my primary storage device for my Surface Pro 4. No setup required. Just plug and play. Transferred needed files from a previous computer quickly and easily. Now I have the files I need available right at hand when I need them. The small size is perfect for the Pro 4. The drive sits next to it on a lap desk or tabletop when working somewhere other than my desk. Some occasional lag occurs but this is so small as to be just noticeable. This drive has the right size storage for most folks and is one of the fastest external drives I've used.

I am a freelance designer with years of huge files that needed backing up. My technical expertise and budget are very limited. This drive was a snap to set up; the transfer rate was lightning fast; it's the size of my smart phone; and the price was exceptional.

I've only used this once to copy important files from my anicent laptop, but the process was really simple. Plug it in and drag and copy into the seagate file listing. Now I don't have to worry about losing my pictures when my dino of a laptop finally dies.

A disk drive, internal or external, isn't a particularly glamorous item these days. So, this isn't an especially glamorous review. This drive was purchased as an external drive for a Mac Mini; it provides a place for Time Machine to store its backups. The drive has worked flawlessly in since installation, 1-2 months ago. It's small size means no wasted desktop space; it is much smaller than the already small Mini. If you've got a Mac and aren't running Time Machine, waste no further time and purchase yourself this - or something much like it.

I was a bit skeptical at first. So I watched a lot of video reviews online and read different recommendations. I love the newly added storage space of 2 TB on my Song PS4 game console. I repurposed the standard 500 GB PS4 hard drive and placed it in the Seagate enclosure. I have also noticed that the reload times and loading times for games are a bit faster.. That's a big plus. I highly recommend it especially for the awesome price value!! Note: This can be risky, but well worth it. Follow the online instructions. Thank You Best Buy for Price Matching.

I got this to use on my Macbook Retina when I travel. It's been reliable, light, and easy to use....I don't need an extra adapter. The only drawback is that I can't connect it directly to my macbook retina because it uses the USB 3 funky flat connector. Other than that I have no complaints. ultimately I got it for ultra portability and good speed, and I got that so Im relatively happy with it. :-)

Unboxed it. Plugged it into my HP laptop via a USB 3.0 port. Starting moving files. I would have given this 5 stars, but seemingly like most external hard drives, the Seagate software/dashboard is a nuisance. It keeps loading and hogging CPU cycles. The drive is great - cut down the cost by 10% and leave off the software.

If you are comfortable taking part of the housing of his hard drive you can swap the drive out of your PS4. In turn you can get a 500 GB external drive and 2 TB drive for your PS4. You can find YouTube videos exposing how to accomplish this process.

There have been many times where I've brought an external harddrive with me on the road and ended up breaking it in transit. This is a great, compact, sturdy external that's meant for being portable. It's fast and I have to say this is a great buy!

I really like the Seagate brand in general, over the years I have come to find that they are really reliable and put out a quality product. I am happy to say that they have continued that trend with this item. We actually liked it so much that we ended up buying two more. The HD is very lightweight and easily portable, it can fit almost anywhere which makes is super easy to use in all situations. Just remember that you have to format it for either Mac or PC you can't have it for both so set it up on the OS you wan't to actually use it on.

I bought this for my daughters laptop. It's very small and uses only a usb port. Lots of space available for such a small device. Very portable.

This has proven itself to be invaluable. I am a TV producer and I need to transport large video files from computer to computer. This little workhorse is solidly made, small so it is easy to transport, and it has held up through some very serious use.
