USB on the outside, standard SATA on the inside!

It was cheaper than the 2TB laptop unit available at the time and worked like a champ. (Disclaimer: opening the unit to remove the internal drive will obviously void your warranty.) As an added bonus, the SATA to USB converter that is inside the case will easily work with any standard 2.5" SATA drive, so for a quick connect option for any internal laptop drive it's a nice little item to have in my data recovery tech toolbox.
