Bestbuy's deal meets almost all online vendors although a few of them have it 5$ less, having the drive in hand paying more is well worth

I was recommended this hdd for my ps4 from a friend. It's the exact size needed for a ps4 console, you do have to open it which can be done easily w a guitar pick (done at your own risk as it will void your warranty) If I needed a portable hdd I would also buy this exact product for that as well seeing as it's nice and slim very easy to carry with you.

I also bought the Western Digital's 'My Passport' and I must say that this one is better. Quieter, with a better design and thiner (but larger), this External Hard Drive works perfectly for me. No problems so far and I didn't have to install all the software they suggested, which is good.

This hard drive goes everywhere with me as a way to take all my files with me without completely filling up my Mac's 256gb hard drive. It has so far proved to be durable and reliable. It has awesome transfer speeds and is easy to use with either Mac or PC, thanks to Seagate offering the NFTS for Mac driver for free on their site. I couldn't be more pleased.

I've picked up more than a couple of these drives and they've all performed wonderfully. Haven't had one fail on me yet. I also very carefully pried apart the enclosure to use this drive in a PS4 and was able to put the used drive it it. No problems and it's the cheapest you'll find.

nice storage device: compact, easy to use, fast and great price !

This is a nice, lightweight drive. The USB 3.0 is very snappy and seems to get great transfer rates. Should you ever need to swap the drive you can fairly easy pop the top off and swap it out. I used just my hands to do it, no tools necessary. The 2 TB drive in this enclosure also works great as a PS4 replacement drive should you choose to do so.

I bought this for my Xbox One since I only have the 500GB version. Once plugged into the Xbox it was a simple button push to join the hard drives for gaming and app storing. The USB 3.0 allows for quick download and upload from the hard drive. I would use this with my desktop if it didnt already have 2Tb of storage. Great price Great product.

So far this external hard drive is working well and was very easy to add to my computer as a back up drive. I dont know a lot about hard drives but researched this one and purchased it based on professional reviews of the product as well as personal reviews by users. Its small and sleek and blends in with my desk area and other computer colors.

My maxtor one touch cratered. This new seagate is much, much smaller and hold 3 times the storage. I backed up my whole computer in a matter of minutes. Much quicker than the maxtor one touch. Huge difference. Very compact so you can take it anywhere. Highly recommend.

This portable backup hard drive replaced one I had for a long time that was the size of printed dictionary, making it NOT very portable. The Seagate is smaller than my cell phone and could easily fit in my pocket. The installation was plug-n-play. Bravo! PS: Kudo's to the Geek Squad for transferring everything from my old drive to the Seagate!

So you found yourself with a person on your Christmas list that wants an actual physical drive, preferably external, even though the sky is partly cloudy. What to do? I bought this 2T Seagate which is essentially what any OEM would put in a PC or laptop if they were putting big drives in computers. And if you like DIY entertainment there's a good chance you could actually hang it off a router as a network storage appliance. (I'm using the "hang" metaphorically, you would need a router with a usb port that supports it and an appropriate usb cable.) My research mavens will just use this to store PhD arcania and carry it around with them from lab to office to kitchen table. But they were quite happy with Christmas gift, and why not get 2T for the price of one? It's almost like having your own private cloud. Oh, in case you haven't read the other reviews, treat the backup software included like you would the bloatware on any computer--delete or ignore it, don't try to use it! You are buying storage, at 3 cents a megabyte, not the world's best backup software--and who uses backup software anyway, that's in the ionosphere these days.
