My computer didn't recognize it so I had to return it. It is really small, which was nice

This item worked for two days. I needed to ship it back to Seagate. Three weeks later they send me a repherbished product...Not even a new replacement. I returned it to Best Buy for a completely different external drive.

Please do not buy this product. If by mistake your computer crashes while you were processing data on this garbage Hard Drive. You will end up losing all your data on this hard drive. This is my second and both fail in exact similar circumstances. An absolute piece of $h&*. Will never buy Seagate products as long as I live.

After a recent Sony update on the PS4 systems, you can now attach an external hard drive to your game box. When 1st connected it will ask you to update it with the new software. Transfer almost all files, games and so on from your internal hard drive. I upgrades my 2 PS4s long ago with HGST 1TB internals. Now I can put most everything on the external drive. If you want to convert back to a computer hard drive, you will have to de-link it from your PS4. It's easy. Only hard part is waiting for a couple or so hours to update from the internal drive to the external HD and in reverse.I am glad Sony felt the pressure to finally add this feature with an update. I had an older 2TB external drive I am using currently on one game box. Now I want to upgrade to 4TBs and load all my games onto it.

I could not get this hardrive to show up on my disk utility. I contacted Seagate, and they got back to me, but weren’t any help. I have always had western digital hardrives, I thought I would try Seagate, but I will go back to WD. That one still works on my computer.

Drive would not work on either IMac or Windows 10 PC. Before returning drive for refund, I gave it to Geek Squad to see if they might find problem. No luck but Best Buy provided refund. Purchased 4TB Western Digital as replacement. No problems with WD.

I purchased this to use for backup on my Mac mini. I installed the drivers required and it still wouldn't work, so I returned it to the store. I love Best Buy! Return was easy.

Comments below lied about being compatible with ps4 when its not. Couldnt fit in ps4 drive . For $100 product its garbage. cheap plastic.i would give 0 rating

Despite numerous attempts to download the proper software I had difficulty uploading my files to backup into Time Machine and iCloud.

Bought this for more memory on my ps4 because the sales floor guy said it would work but it wasnt compatible with it what the heck man.

Barely used it, and it died in less then three years, garbage.

Would not link to cell to transfer all pictures, it only transferred a very select few.

No interface. Plug it in and no product installaation info appears

I needed more storage and backup. The Seagate Back up Plus fit my needs and the 4T size was a great value.

Excellent drive. This is little thicker than 2TB version as the harddisk inside is thicker, but is far thinner than other 4TB dual disk (2TB x 2) drives. Comes with a cable to transfer data and take power from USB. Working perfectly so far.

This is one of my best buys at Bestbuy. Sorry about that, I couldn't resist. This thing will hold most peoples entire movie collection. If you're a huge movie lover, like me, you may have to have more. I own 6. That says a lot right there. I wouldn't have kept buying these if they weren't such great products. I have read several reviews saying that these are noisy. Mine make no sound at all. I could use these in the library and never get told to be quiet. Bottom line is that these are great quality products that are at a great price. You won't be sorry if you buy this.

It took me a long time to choose one hard drive among all the options but this one is a good option if you need 4TB hard derive. The price is good and comparable with the other brands. If you prefer a thin one, try 2TB!
