No problems. Simple to use plug and play at a great price when I bought it. Everyone loves to store data on the cloud. I get it. But one day the people holding those servers will no longer be so friendly. Keeping your own data confirms integrity. I don't want anybody in China using my powerpoint slides. Besides, those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

I bought this hard disk to back up my videos, pictures, music, etc.. This is really fast in taking the backup. I really love this product. No external power supply. Work will with just usb port. to make it fast transfer you need to connect to usb 3.0 port for quick and fast transfer. if u need to connect to usb2.0 it will be slow. Pretty good! It just works! It's not exceptionally fast or anything, but it's a lot of storage for a small price. Great stuff!

had a plug in hard drive and it was dying. I bought this as a replacement it works great it copied all files flawlessly

I use this to backup a wd my cloud device. This is the 3rd seagate hard drive that I've gotten for various needs and have not been disappointed yet. I use one for my Mac, one for portability on trips and such and the other for my wd my cloud. I've had these type of seagate drives for many years and been very pleased.

This little drive has a 4TB capacity. You lose a lot to formatting, but that space is always lost. I reformatted it to HFS+ with absolutely no issue. Set it up with Time Machine and have my own directory structure on the drive as well for other files for on the go. It's zippy and the case has a nice, sleek design.

Replaced 1T backup drive with this 4T. Easy to use and fits current needs as well as future need.

Does what it states. Small size for 4 TB (Though it is larger than the 1 and 2 TB version, but expected due to the increased size. Works off of the USB power and is running at 5400 RPM (vs 7200 RPM), but for a backup drive that is fine.

After a computer scam, I had to clear and reinstall my recently purchased computer. Luckily I do regular back-ups but the other drives did not have enough memory space anymore. I bought this one because it had more than enough space for my needs. I now backup regularly so I don't lose info again.

Being a photographer and digital artist, I have had MUCH experience with hard drives over the years. I gravitated towards Seagate because they give far less problems than any other brand of hard drive I've used. So far, so good with my new 4TB drive, I hope it proves to be as reliable as my others.

I got this hard drive to back up my laptop. The software that comes with it is not as user friendly as I wanted and it sort of ropes you into doing just their back up. I can't seem to just save files to it with ease like a flash drive, which is more what I was thinking it would function like. So it may be a great hard drive, but just not what I wanted.

So far everything is fine and perfect. I used one 4TB Seagate drive for several months and then, after old 1TB drive started to give me some problems (bad blocks after several years of use), I got one more. Primary use: personal backup and moving around huge video files. Best if used with USB-3.

This hard drive came in great right before an international trip. Although nothing happened to my smaller one during my trip, I still say it pays to have a good backup plan especially as how now we tend to entrust years' worth of photos on these little boxes. Quick uploads and nice and light.

I really like the backup device but it will not run automatically no matter what settings I use. I have to manually run it. That is annoying but I still like the ease of use. I am using the Control Panel / File History path to run it. The software that came with the device kept getting errors and Seagate suggested I run it this way. Would gladly rate as a 5 if this could be corrected.

This item was extremely easy to set up. I thought it was a good price and is compact to travel with.

I needed a low profile flash drive for a raspberry pi project, and 64gb at this size is great.
