    I was going to use this hard drive as backup...but when I plugged it in all the stuff I was planning on putting on there was already on the drive. What's going on? Did I buy some sort of phantom drive? Should I call a priest?

    This external hard drive works as promised and does a good job with plug and play. I use the drive to manually backup pc and cloud drives with no problem at all. Small footprint and very fast loads (up and down). I have not used the included software so I can't comment on that.
