Well designed portable hard drive. Had a little trouble setting up, but after unplugging usb cable several times the installation started.

I use this as a plug and play with my iMac. Just make sure to read the directions if you want to be able to drag and drop files for a Mac.

I bought this for PS4 external and cant get it to picked up the hard drive it keeps saying it cant be used. Even formatted it to the correct file type system and no luck. Besides that it is a good external and fast for the price.

this drive is good i run them on 2 computers...no weird stuff or antics. just stable for backups - almost 3 yrs

I trust this brand with all my digital files and documents. This my second external hard drive because I ran out of space on the first one.

I rated 4 of 5 stars because great sound, quality and very user friendly. The only issue for me was the size of the earbud. They are quite large, smaller than the old X2 but larger than the Freedom. Either way, worth the price!

I gave my 1st hard drive to my neighbor to store her digital pics as she is a avid photographer. Then purchased a second to replace it for myself . I edit video and this is a good hard drive as I need a lot of storage space.

Very small. Much smaller than the 1 to I bought couple years back. Good brand name and no issues with them in the past. Worth the money.

Simply plug in the usb cable and you are ready to go. Inexpensive solution to adding hard drive space to laptop with a solid state HD.

I bought two of these (one for me, one for my husband) a great price to transfer critical files and store for offsite backup. I first tried copying from another external backup drive, both hooked up to the same machine, but kept getting I/O errors, which I attributed to the older original backup drive -- not the new one. Big mistake. After I finally transferred the ~3tb of files to it (which took several days trying to do it in a piecemeal fashion), now it locks up Windows Explorer half the time, and produces I/O errors all over the place when trying to work with any of the files the rest of the time. Tried to scan and repair it in Windows and that fails too. I've used it on two separate Windows 10 computers with the same results. And since I already transferred a bunch of sensitive personal files to it, and the drive won't let me delete them (because it can't seem to find them, I/O errors again), I can't return it without overwriting the drive somehow. So I'm trying to DBAN the thing, but the DoDshort wipe will take longer than the return window, if the DBAN is even successful in the end. Now I'm out $100, and learned an expensive lesson about never buying another Seagate small form-factor drive again. Very frustrating. My husband has had good luck with Seagate drives in the past, but I'm not taking any chances in the future; I'll go back to Western Digital from now on even if I'm paying more for it.

My last hard drive was dying on me, it was a Seagate as well. I was surprised it is smaller than my last one. Would buy again.

A terrible situation with this Seagate company. I sent an external hard drive for recovery. They did nothing, they returned after three months a disk of a different model (from the laptop computer) with a different serial number and different ports for connecting to the cable. to the question where is my disk - they answer that this is the one that I have, it looks differently and the number is different, but the information on disk is the same as I sent

First time buying a seagate external hard drive, I like the fact that the light is not overly bright unlike some other brand.

This external drive is plug and play. I am using it to backup my computer's data in case the hard drive fails.
