have been using this as my everyday dj hard drive and has yet to fail me. pretty good and fast transfer. happy with purchase.

Bought two of these. One is still working fine, the other became corrupted. Was able to re-format and use again. Luckily I had the data backed up on another drive.

Had the drive for less than a year, so far it works as expected. It appears to be well made and will be a good backup drive.

I purchased this drive to back up my collection of 19,000 plus photographs. The information I read prior to purchase indicated that it was appropriate for use with the MacBook line of products. Unfortunately, you need to use the supplied "Paragon" NTFS driver with the unit in order to be completely compatible with the Mac OS. If you attempt to re-format the drive using Mac OS Extended formatting, you will quickly develop fragmentation errors and read write issues. I am not a fan of using DOS style formatting, so this drive has been set aside until I can decide where it will fit best.

This is a solid unit that is whisper quiet. Not needing a secondary power cord is excellent. Transfer rate over USB 3.0 is good.

Bought this for my xbox one because I ran out of space. Set up was quick and it runs fast and I've had no problems with it.

It's a very quick download dependenting on your computer but my opinion it's a very useful tool to carry large files around.

It's ok! I have been buying external hard drives for years. This is my 5th 4tb I've purchased. I am not as happy with them since apple did their update last year. You have to download Seagate's paragon program, they disconnect easily and if im downloading I have to start over. The connection port is not as good as their older ones. I always buy 2 at a time so if one fails I have the other. I had to replace one I purchased in January because the connection keeps disconnecting. I still purchased another because theirs not much to choose from.

great buy i got it when it was on sale and i had a 2t before and space was getting small but it works just fine and its faster

Seems to be fast and have primarily saved a lot of photos and looked at a few. I am using a PC, Windows10 and a USB3.0 port.

Love seagate external drives they are the only ones I will buy. Have had others and have had bugs never with a seagate

Was going to buy a much more expensive laptop until, I had thought of purchasing this hard drive. Saved a bunch of money.

No better brand than sea gate gets the job done. I was shopping around doing my research couldn't fine anything better.

If you have an Xbox One, I recommend this hard drive as an expansion for more memory. Very quiet, but it is bulky.

Got this on Black Friday at a great price. Was looking for a 3TB drive, but saw the price of this one and went for it.

I purchased this as a Christmas present for my father-in-law to replace his Western Digital that died within 2 years.

The product was exactly what i expected. It was actually on sale cheaper. So I got what I wanted and saved a ton of cash

It takes a second for the computer to recognize it, but once it does it is lighting fast, even transferring large files.

Worked right out of the box. Tons of space for photos, music, and movies. No lag experienced when playing movie files.
