this device is perfect for storing information . great product for the price

My new Seagate backup drive works easily and I feel comfortable that I will not lose any of the zillions of pictures I've taken and stored on my computer. I have other Seagate external hard drives and they all provide good, reliable service. Photography is just a hobby for me, but I would not want to lose any of my pictures especially those that I've enhanced with Photoshop Elements.

This external hard drive has lots and lots of memory, and is very easy to use. It also frees up a lot of room on my Xbox One, which is what I bought it for. It is also small enough to fit in the space I have for it, which is a plus.

5TB was the perfect size to attach to my Nighthawk router for remote backups. Given the higher bit density of this drive, I was expecting a faster throughput, like on my 4TB Seagate Backup Plus, but it is quick enough for its purpose. I have not had any issues so far although my old XP machine had problems recognizing it. I always run a couple of full scans (CHKDSK or SeaTools) on new disk drives before I copy any data onto them. The drive is quiet and does not vibrate, which is always a nice bonus.

If you were looking for great storage at a killer price, this was it.

Good product for basic storage needs. I use it daily for media storage. In fact, I have two of them that I'm using daily and have never had a problem with them. Thus, I'd recommend and I'd buy again if I need more storage. Only downside is the fact that they sit flat so they take up more room than WD options which stand vertically. As an aside, I'd also recommend WD drives as well, and see the Seagate as equals. Either brand does a great job.

Will never have to worry about space in my Xbox again. Easy set up.

I'm replacing an older WD Wordbook network drive that I have really learned to hate. This Seagate drive seems to quick. I use the USB 3.0 interface. It ran out of the box. I've connected it to a Linksys WAP's USB 3.0 interface, to a Mac Mini (USB 3.0), an old MS machine (USB 2.0) and even the USB 2.0 expansion port on the WD Worldbook. Everything worked great.

this is senate's 5tb external hard drive! obviously there is other companies such as WD, toshiba, etc to make great external hard drives also. but i actually price matched from amazon to best buy and bought it for 114.99 before tax. and it wasn't a deal that i could pass go by! great side piece, and if you need one, definitely look into one of these!

good deal when on sale. only drawback is the software is horrible. it creates long nonsensical file names so when u try to look at your backup files u see tons of files you cant decipher. use the windows backup program instead. it also overwrote my old seagate backups from a different drive i'd backed up onto my computer, destroyng hundreds of hrs of work. so deactivate the backup software that comes w this and youll like this drive

This external hard drive was easy to set up to my desktop. It's a great product and has a huge memory space to back up our computers. Would recommend and the price was very reasonable for the memory space it has
