Got this to backup the data on my computer and for extra storage. It worked ok the first time I connected to my desktop and now the computer won't recognize it. It works fine on my laptop. Not sure why it is ok on one and not the other.

This is not good if you want to load your digital videos, movies or pictures as it doesn;t work with all TV's. It is great for your computer files to add more storage, but that is about it.

This is configured for PCs. The various extra installs to make it mac-compatible work fine and the prompts are very clear, but there are other, more mac-friendly options that don't require these additional steps.

Put all my photos on it and now it's already messed up. I can't get them off of it because it immediately has a drive failure! Seagate is evidently notorious for it and nobody at best buy geek squad felt the need to tell me

I take so many pictures that I have to put them on a bigger drive. I'm happy with this product. I'm not a tech person bur I had no problems getting it to work.

This one didn't back up my computer & I kept getting the message the disk was full. Going to have to take this in to see what happened! I do have older models without as much storage that were simple & easy to use!!

This was very completed to download my pictures- my professional photographer and tech experienced son-in-law worked long and hard & had to use his own Apple computer- I have no idea how it will go in the future with my PC.

Works wonderfully had no issues with it for months, the one bump and now it won’t read the data. My advice would be to keep it in bubble wrap or something if you want it to last.

I bought 2, one for my HP and one for my son's Apple and it messed up my son's Apple. I have not been able to get it to bring the start screen back up. I'm going to have to take it to apples

I've used other drives with no problem but this is VERY difficult to use AND I had to PAY to talk to Seagate tech support???? What is up with that??? Within 4 backups I used 50% of the memory....IMPOSSIBLE! I bought the 1TB so I could backup for YEARS....turns out that it KEEPS copies of ALL previous backups so you have to go into your computer and REMOVE former backups to free space....Tech support told me that businesses use this which told me that this is NOT consumer friendly! Avoid!

Useless!!! my phone load programs and games faster then tis HARD Drive my windows doesnt see files from it so i have to update or fix or show way by hands... TRASH don't even think of buying it

Exactly two weeks after I purchased this product it stopped working! I could not retrieve my documents and all the work I'd done during this time. I refused to pay $500 for Seagate to retrieve my documents when it was lost due to nothing I'd done, but a defective product It does not make sense to pay less than $100 for a product, but then to pay $500 to get your lost information I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND SEAGATE TO MY DOG!

I was not happy with this item, i wanted to download all of my pictures on it but I needed an app. Then the app was not compatible with my computer. Had to return the item.

lost several projects when my original purchase "died" ... was given this as replacement, but what about lost projects? SOL! Now saving projects to several flash drives!

It's works well but breaks with sort of easy (Impact or a short fall, and can extremely costly to fix, I have 2 estimated at about $1400 each to recover my data

I got a full message but that can’t be unless it’s duplicating pictures or music. I keep almost everything in the cloud. Also, it’s awkward to use.

Sometimes it freezes and my colleague"s crashed and it cost her $400 to retrieve her data. But if you do not have a lot of important data then this one is good

Bought this for a large work file transfer. These are good for short term storage, but long term, I have had these drives fail on me twice in the past.

As I said above, it does its job of backing up files but is not incredibly fast. But for the price you're getting what you pay for as far as speed.
