I purchased this item less than a month ago. Put all my pictures n important documents.. Now they are all gone no way to retrieve all my stuff. I called customer support at Seagate they offered to retrieve my info for $500. After less then a month get real? If you want to keep your info safe don't purchase this defective storage system.

Great product but little support in set up even on the website once I figured it out it worked flawlessly

It is slim and light weight. All was good. It worked great and then it wouldn't turn on and and wouldn't recognize any computer. I am so sorry we couldn't return it to BestBuy. It was past the 15 day return policy. SO I could send it back to the company but they would send me a refurbished one.

Seagate works Great! Thanks again for the good product. Next time I will have a friend come with me!

I thought that backing up to the Cloud via this device was optional.

Doesn't adapt to cable box like I was told it would need to purchase extra products still sitting in the box

My only regret is I should have bought one with a power supply so transfer would go faster.

the sales person was so very helpful explaining appropriate options available for my needs.

Problem with the pins but good otherwise for regular use. Speed Ok for regular use.

Couldn't connect to the drive after second use, all my data was still in there after I returned it..

I was amazed at the hoops and ladders needed for this portable hard drive. Way too much

Solid drive, but slower than expected file loading, save and overall response times.

I thought it was cumbersome to use when attached to the phone with a short cable.

USB power only....takes too much power on a Mac and shut down my USB's because of it.

It did not work for what I wanted to use it for. I had great customer service.

I've had drives like this before. Needed a bigger one for backups before is upgrade. Read reviews and recommendations for my then current operating system level. Bought this one. Plugged it in and no luck getting it to show up on my desktop. Odd buzzing noise, light was on. But it would not show up. Read mice type - it was for higher op system. Took it to work and told my IT guy I'd have to return it. He said he could format it to work for any mac, but tried it on higher systems on PCs and Macs we have, and it simply was not working at all, not showing up on any computer so he couldn't format it at all. He said it should not be buzzing like that. Returned for refund.

Cant get it to function properly on a mac with saving quicken files. Waste of money!

Our other Seagate work great. This one crashed within 2 months and erased all data.

A little more complicated to transfer and get the stuff off the new computer.

bought this product one year ago and it stop working after one year.
