Product doesn't work as it is supposed to. The necessary drivers are not loaded.

This is the first backup device I've purchased and have read the directions over and over. Seems to work well with my new computer but wish it had more detailed directions. Went online to a tutorial but still confused as to how to access the files I backed up from my other laptop. All the files are in weird order and no names (that I'm familiar with) are associated with the files. It came highly recommended (especially for a beginner like me) but I'm not impressed. I spent a several hours studying this and just gave up. Don't have time. It shouldn't be this hard or time consuming.

Hard to use for Mac. Not sure I recommend it. Might need geek squad to help.

Had to had extras to computer and really had a hard time setting up.

Didn't work with any programs I wanted to save and also the drive wasn't available to repair so I ended up returning the product. I ended up buying another hard drive which just failed me about a few weeks ago and basically stuck trying to recover my files before it's gone for good.

Great product, works as expected. Held my pics and videos.

Still able to use even though not compatible with Vista.

It's okay. Not great but okay. I haven't had any issues.

I needed help from an Apple Tech to have the unit function properly.

difficult to check to see if backup is really working

I researched external portable hard drives for awhile until i decided to buy this one. For the price and stoage I was in between this one, Toshiba Canvio Basics, and WD My Passport. My previous external portable hard drive was an older version of the WD Passport and after a year or so it crashed, so i chose not to get it again. I liked the look of this one better than the toshiba and i had read more reliable reviews for seagates hard drives in general. I don't really use the seagate dashboard though it is helpful if you want to set it up to back up your files at a certain time. I like transferring my my dad through Windows Explorer. I have yet to use the Lyve app, but did get my extra 200gb for my one drive cloud. The only thing i see that my Passport drive had that I do not see or was not advertised on the Seagate is password protection, but I don't mind because I didn't use it on my Passport anyways. Overall, the hard rive is working well, I am really happy with my purchase and would recommend to others.

I hope it works...have no idea at this point. Employee assured me that they were not on commission when he recommended security cost, hardware backup cost and 1 yr geek squad cost...very ineffective all the way around...disappointed enough to never shop Best Buy again.

I love it. Will definitely recommend it to a friend.

It was too difficult to reformat so I returned the Seagate

purchased same 2 routers, neither would work, ugh!

it came with no directions and was hard to operate.

Product was pretty 'weak" for my channel master dvr. Not compatible, sound registration kept skipping randomly. Also a 'hard' disconnection made it ynusable. Quite fragile, would not buy it again.

The Asus computer I purchased about a month ago locks up for about 60 seconds several times a day. I tried several things to try to fix it and finally went back to Best Buy and was told that if I paid them $200.00 they would look at it. I had had it less than 3 weeks. I contacted Asus and they wanted to wipe out everything I had spent over a week getting loaded and re-install windows. I bought another computer from another store and now I can let the techies at Asus re-do my 5 week old computer. Not a happy camper because of the way I was treated by Best Buy.
