I've been looking to buy a new external HDD for awhile now since my 5 year old one finally crashed. This new Seagate model is incredibly small and compares to the size of an iPhone 5s but a little wider. It comes with a bunch of features that I tend to not use but you might. My main purpose of owning an external HDD is to use it as a direct backup to me laptop and run a back up once a month to make sure everything is updated in case my laptop ever crashes. Great little external HDD, let's see how the test of time does with her.

I still don't know how to use this. It's supposed to be "plug and play"--not!

plugged it in and didn't work out of the box. Returned and bought a WD.

Purchased this to use as a travel hard drive - it's the perfect size to slip into any bag, and has enough space to hold everything needed. Set up was quick and easy.

My Macbook hd is small (SD is fast, but low capacity), so I have all of my music on one of these. Works great with iTunes and works the same as if it were on my computer's drive. It automatically backs up on time machine. Everything is seamless and easy.

This drive is working great and saves so much room on my hard-drive which I had filled with pictures and videos. Having moved them to this drive freed up quite a bit of space and now my laptop runs faster too!

This external HD is great if you're looking for something small and portable with a ton of space.

Great product. We are able to store so much data on here and it's very easy to transfer data from our computer to this portable hard drive. Now we have so much free space on our computer.

This drive has made me very happy. It has already proven my Western Digital to be far more reliable. I prefer the housing it is in as well, compared to the plastic the WD was in.

So easy to use. Drag and drop. From start to finish all my pictures and document were saved. Didn't even take a full hour.

Not much to say about this drive. It's not the fastest, but that's not important. It's small, functional, and does the job well. It's solid and I would definitely buy another if needed. I'm using it to back up a PS4, but it would work in any scenario where I need a drive that will do the job and take up minimal space. That fact that it's powered from the USB cable makes it a good choice too. Hard to beat it for the price. One thing to keep in mind, the way it's formatted it didn't work with my PS4. I had to reformat it to a compatible file system.
