This hard drive is very small for 2 terabytes of data capacity, and it is quiet when it is running. Once you have backed up your system you can put it away in a safe and you will have your system image ready in case disaster strikes, and it will. You get the drive and a USB cable and that is all you need to use this drive. I recommend backups daily if you have the time, but if not, at least once a week so you don't lose too much if the system drive in your computer dies. This is the difference between anguish from losing everything and confidence knowing you can recover in a short time with minimal effort. This is really peace of mind in a small black box. Buy one - you need it!

Knowing devices purpose are most important in this day. This portable hard drive is being used for Music. 1.5 TB FULL OF IT! Not a single glitch thus far using it for roughly 10 hours a week.

It's great having this for backing up my home computer, and knowing that I can take it on the road with me to access files while I travel for work. I was looking for a backup hard drive to store all of my information into. Seagate is usually a reliable brand for hard drives, so I decided to go with them considering I got it at a good price.

This Seagate external hard drive was very easy to install and use. I connect it to my computer whenever I need to backup files and then put it away until it's needed again. Lot of storage space.

Great for picture storage or backing up a computer

Great product! I was surprised by how small and thin it is. Fits so easily into my PS4, I opened it and voided the warranty, but I now have 2gb in my PS4. I would highly recommend this product.

I bought this to use as a hard drive expansion for my Xbox One. It easily connected and has seamlessly become the default memory location for all new games with no noticeable lag in performance.
