This is a good and easy solution if you want to upgrade your PS4 hard drive for larger storage. Unfortunately it will not work as an external drive. Remove the hard drive from the housing and installed it into the PS4. The good part of doing this is that you will not have your old drive go to waste. Just simply install it into this housing, format it, and you have a perfectly good external hard drive. You will have to do some advanced formatting because of all the partitions the PS4 created. But you can do a search and find how to do it. Everything worked like a charm.

Hard to beat this deal for added storage capacity. Costs are always coming down in this field, but with the deal price, this was the BEST DEAL, period.

This is light weight and compact to easily put in your bag and take with you all the time.

I know that there will always be a certain number of units of a product that are defective, but I haven't had that experience with the 3 Seagate drives I had owned prior to buying this. So far, this works fine and Seagate also has a good warranty on units that may fail.

I bought this for extra storage because my pc hardrive crashed.so far this external hardrive has worked fine but I've only had it less than a year.

I have an older laptop with thousands of photos, my iTunes library, and various files that are important to me. I was using a 64g memory stick to back up the computer, but it was a hassle, and eventually it ran out of space. The Seagate drive works effortlessly in the background, I literally do nothing...it runs on auto-pilot, so to speak. The initial set-up is easy...tell it what you want backed up, and how often...then forget it. I'll have this drive for many years, and for future laptops.

Took apart to use as hard drive for PS4. Cheaper then buying an actual 2TB hard drive just requires a little more instructions when installing/taking apart but works fine so far. Placed old PS4 hard drive in the case and still have a working external hard drive.

Was looking for a slim, reliable, portabe hard drive. This one is what I was looking for. Now I can backup all my data to it. It's nice and reliable.

Decent price and very simple to use. I bought it for my xbox one and it was easy installion and so far I've had no problems with it. Overall a great product.
