The brand itself is pretty well known and reliable usually. However, I had issues with this item from day 1. It started making noises, which is a VERY bad sign for a hard drive, and it got hot. I couldn't even exchange it in the store because they didn't even carry that model. So I had to wait for a replacement in the mail. The replacement didn't work either. I ended up returning the item and buying something else.

Because it has moving parts inside, I am told that it's life span is about 6 to 7 years. I was not told this till after I bought it, which was disappointing since I was hoping it would protect my photos. A bit of money if I have to replace it that often to keep my photos.

So Much Space...

I love the fact that this hard drive can handle anything I throw at it and then some. This hard drive has the capacity to store all sorts of files including videos,music,documents....etc. The processing speed is also a charm as it is fast and whisper quiet. I will be buying another one soon and I highly recommend it. Seagate is top of the line when it comes to storage space and customer service.
