It's suppose to be friendly to windows and mac. I am having trouble with Mac.

It's not as fast as the the Toshiba 2TB, but ti's still pretty good. Would have been nice if it came with some sort of travelling case and little rubber pads on one side to keep it from sliding on a desk.

Bought it for my Xbox, plugged it in, and it worked! USB cable also seems longer than most, which is nice. It was able to have the drive sit next to my Xbox instead of behind it.

sad them take my double cable out the my box,.....and I never see it until in Mexico my mother open the box, and big surprise no cable, real sucks, my mom is disappointment big

Seagate is the best in the business and while Best Buy didn't have it in stock at my store, it was available on line. It arrived with no problems and it was competitively priced.

I't's hard to review something as basic as a backup drive. I can say that installation is idiot-proof. I did it and that proves the point. Beyond that, it is too soon to tell.

The drive inside of this enclosure is perfect for the PlayStation 4. Just crack open the case (the top and bottom just peel apart), remove the drive, and use it in your PlayStation 4.

I purchased this item thinking it would work seamlessly with my mac book pro, but instead it said I would have to download certain drivers so my mac could read this hard drive, looks like a wonderful product just wish I could've used it.

I bought this hard drive for about $80. I wanted to use it for more space on my Xbox One. It lasted maybe a month before it stopped working. All I get is a read error. I tried re-formatting.... Nothing. I should have listened to all the bad reviews!!! Don't waste your money!!!!

Purchased this unit to backup my laptop and also some portable storage. Software works fine, but the speed is a little slow. Gives you the availability for snapshot or continuous.

I bought this hard drive as an external drive for my PS4. It formatted quickly and now all of my games are on this drive. No issues as of yet and I've had it for months now.

The write speed seems to be a little bit faster than that of WD USB3.0 hard drive.

I routinely use up external drives for work and my photography. I was looking for a new drive when I came across this one. This has a good amount of storage at 2TB and for many people tha may all they ever need. Once I reciever the drive I couldn't believe how small this thing is! It's half the size of my 1TB I ordered 2 yrs ago. So far it has worked great and is quite fast at writing and retrieving data, especially if your computer is using usb 3.0.

The out-of-the-box experience was great. Packaging was effective and "green". Instructions were simple and easy to follow. Set-up was flawless and use has been equally easy.

I am pleased that this backup is quiet and does not slow my computer. It is Mac compatible and works with Time Machine. So far it has worked great and I am very happy with it.

This Seagate Drive backs up my laptop much faster than my Western Digital drive did, and I like the way it organizes the files better than the WD.

I installed Linux Mint on the USB and installation was very fast. Booting the OS was also fast as well doing updates. This confirmed that the WRITE and READ access is very good.
