Does what is supposed to do. USB 3.0 let's me have fast transfers and is really the main reason I bought this one.

This is mobile fast and reliable. If you live in the dark ages like I do then you can depend on this.

Good for backup storage but buyer beware of the cable USB I bent it in my backpack in two days use.

I would have been surprised if I had to return it. Best Buy and Seagate proved to be a great combination

Product good and handy. But not sure what to say if you lose your 10 years collected memories suddenly one day after 3 years of using this external drive. If backup disks gets 3/4 years of life don't know how can we keep data safe. These are products which should be much more robust, long lasting & clearly mentioned when it needs to be replaced. To add to it Seagate don't have any recover service who can help out for such issues out of warranty.Makers should have that service in a reasonable price. In market whatever professional data recovery are there they charge 10 times the cost of your actual disks that too with no guaranty on the extent of data to be recovered. Now i have to think everyday in future for all my data and can never trust such backup devices anymore.

I haven't really had time to 'play' with it so I will need to update my review at a later date.

Hard drive is great to store files from computers as a backup.

Picked this up for $89.99 from my local BB. I purchased this drive because I wanted to upgrade my PS4 drive to 2TB. Even though this is advertised as a portable external drive the drive itself is still a notebook-sized drive. So, it will work in a laptop or a PS4. For some reason if you buy the drive alone it is more expensive. All you do is pry off the top metal cover (its not hard) pop out the drive, remove silver shielding sticker and the usb adapter that is attached to the drive and you're good to go. You now have a 2.5in drive that you can do what you want with. You can also keep the enclosure for later use. In my case, I put the old PS4 drive in the enclosure and I now have a portable drive too. Product was a great buy and at $40 off it is a great deal.

Compare transfer speeds if you need to back up frequently. Unit is good if you need portability.

Bought this Backup Plus 2TB External USB 3.0/2.0 Portable Hard Drive - for my son's laptop since he need a lot of memory to play games online.. worked for only 3wks then start having issues... tried to take it back to BBuy and the 15days expired !!!! 15day is no enough time.

I bought for my ps4. I had less than 50 gbs of memory and found this one for a great price.

The item is great for its price. I recommend & will continue shopping on line for fast p/u.

This drive is sleek and works fine. I just wish the instructions were a bit better

Works with USB 2.0 and 3.0 and does not require any addition software (though it includes some).

Everything is perfect but would be nice if there was a password protect feature.

This product worked fine, but took me 3 days to backup my 1TB system. Though it is 2.0 or 3.0 USB, I only had 2.0 on my system so it was very slow. Once you make a choice as to what type of backup you are going to make, it's set. I wish I had done incremental versus a one time backup. May redo over a long holiday weekend to get it right.
