hard to set up with windows 10 and office 2016 but did get it to work

Compared with western digital transfer rate is way slow

Unfortunately it will not accept files/documents with long file names

So far it is good to use. Speed in transferring data is pretty neat.

I have had several Seagate products over the years, their externals in general are not very durable... Internal hard drives I have had great luck with. I bought one for myself and a client, my clients sits on her desk full time and I am confident it will last her years if she never moves it... :)

This is a good hard drive, it has a fast transfer speed.

This is my 3rd Seagate Backup Drive but this one backed up my computer once but I’ve not been able to do any follow up backups. I don’t know if it’s a faulty drive but at this time I’m not so sure about this product.

It held the data I put on it. It was however pretty slow and it had the limitation of being only man or only PC which caused a problem when I delivered it to the client. I wouldn't use this brand again as I've used others that worked well between OSs

I wanted this one because of it's compact size. It works great for a year then it stops working and loses all it's content! It was horrible!

Great price and excellent size, but did not work with computer... actually caused hard drive to fail, definitely do your research to verify this will work on your exact computer

I bought this as a Time Machine backup drive for my father's iMac. This is actually the 2nd Backup Plus Slim that I have bought. I also bought the 1TB drive for my wife's Macbook Air. I just plug this into the USB port on the iMac and I was asked if I wanted to use this as a Time Machine backup. I said yes and then it reformatted it for use on a Mac. It couldn't have been easier. The one thing I don't understand is why the icon on the Mac is not the green Time Machine icon but instead it is a yellow icon, but it is working just fine so I am not concerned about it.

Of limited use given that Windows 10 doesn’t have the corresponding utility that would transfer software from Window 7. Transferring data from my back-up drive runs much faster and is less complicated.

I purchased this at best buy. Stored lot of files and pics. Not working now. I lost everything.

I needed a big drive to back up all photos. I have over 8000 pictures of my grandchildren and many trips I have taken. I do not want to lose them.
