I used this product to store all of my videos, music and photos, as not to clutter my computer's hard drive. Today, the product failed to read and I am unable to recover anything from the drive, even on another computer. This product is a complete failure.

I have used external drives for many years. This one failed in the first month. Hopefully, I will get a replacement but if I hadn't had the info on another computer, I would have lost years of research. I have used "Passport" in the past & they have lasted for years.

I was hoping for a wireless hard drive. I was not looking for a back up only drive.

Do not purchase a Seagate Backup Plus Portable 2TB Drive. I purchased this drive around Christmas time and backed up all my files. Those files are unrecoverable now because my Seagate Backup Plus Portable 2TB Drive failed. All the data is lost forever. Obviously the quality of their drive is extremely poor.

Excellent product. This is my first external hard drive; I am satisfied with it. Excellent in design and look; will fit in the palm and is so light to carry. Software that comes with this product makes it so cool to use. There are options to automatically create incremental backups; Software supports mobile backup also. It took just 15 minutes to backup my laptop and mobile.

I purchased this because of the price over my usual WD preference... I had it for three weeks and it ended up corrupted losing my wedding photos and videos.

It said it backed up everything, but I couldn't view the individual files if I wanted to just restore one file. There was no manual or info were to get help to understand it's function. Seagate is a good company, but this product didn't help me at all for what I wanted, so I returned it.

Plugged this device into my computer, followed all instructions... didn't work. Went to bed, next day I turned it on and my computer did not work. Had to go to geek squad and spend 300 to format hard drive... no problems what so ever before with computer until this device

This product was purchased after being recommended for the Microsoft Xbox external storage by the local staff. Bad idea.... it has 2 TB of storage but this unit when presented to the Xbox only allows 32 GB of storage and says it is not recommended by Microsoft. ugh

This product never worked from day one. Despite months spent trying to get installed. We finally gave up and returned to Best Buy where they found it was a bad device. My warranty covered replacing with a different one. Wish we had not wasted so much time

Had much trouble trying to download hardware on pc so I could use it. Called tech support--they were of no help at all. Returned product to store for refund. Only gave a star because I had to in order to submit review. Purchased Western Digital external drive instead which I love!!

I TRANSFERRED 200 GIGS OUT OF MY COMPUTER TO MAKE ROOM ON FIRST DAY, FINE, SHUT IT DOWN AND TURN ON LAP TOP NEXT DAY AND IT NO LONGER READABLE BY MY COMPUTER. 24 HOURS ONLY, GOT TO BE A RECORD FOR LEMONS. LOST ALL MY DATA, SILLY ME, I HAD FAITH.

If you need need to carry your files from place to place with you this is for you. USB powered, 2.0 And 3.0 compatible . just grab and go, you can literally throw it in your pocket . Big enough to hold all your work, so you know you have what you need.

Seagate 2TB USB 3.0 is a great external HD. I have three of these and they work perfectly. Great for storage and back up. Really fast for transferring large video files. No issues with performance and one drive is almost a year old. Highly recommend.

Used this hard drive to replace my PS4 hard drive and it works great. It was easy to pop open and install to the PS4. Just be warned once you open it up it voids the warranty. After the install I have 1.7TB in my PS4.

Less than 2 months of use and it's already failed... I get an error "fatal device hardware issue" each time I try to access the drive. Not impressed.

Purchased as a back up for my work files. While applying standard encryption to the entire drive, it had catastrophic failure. Didnt even own it for three days. Best Buy took it back and allowed me to exchange for a solid state drive.

I have had drives not behave, but to have one day is remarkable. Segate backup plus Slim has serious issues. I bought it back in august, and just put it into service today. Aggravating. Totally dead drive in 1 day.

Great slim size UBS 3.0/2.0 portable HDD nice for external storage for movies and pictures.

I was very disappointed about this drive. At the beginning it was fast and had no issue, until one day I connected to my laptop and started making a sound, the hard drive had failed. After only 1 month.
