Took almost 10 hours to copy 250GB hard drive. Takes almost 30 minutes to start computer and another 30 to open word. I no longer use it and uninstalled it and my computer is back to its fast speed.

These die on slight impacts, devastating the platter. Data not recoverable. Recovery company said Seagate switches out read heads and makes recovery attempts ($600 failed attempt) expensive.

Bought this to store files from work and edit video from this drive, its fast enough to do so with premire cs6 on a macbook pro 15' retina display. It costs less than the LaCie drives and has twice as much storage. You have to install a driver on mac to be able to use it if you want to use it for both mac and windows (not a problem). Smaller than other portable drives and fits nicely in pocket, its smaller than an iphone 5s and very light weight. Very reliable.

Plugged it in and it didn't work. I had it for a month before I tried it out and Best buy would not take it back or exchange it. Now have to wait for manufacturere to mail me a new one,

If you have an older MacBook Pro avoid this product the setup program will try to force you to purchase additional cloud storage and won't allow you to finalize setup till you do.

I bought this specifically for the Xbox One. It was simple to use (plug it into the back USB port to allow for continued use of the side port) and works symbiotically with the Xbox. It was nice seeing my 90% full hard drive change to 13%, and allowed me to but today's Titanfall Black Friday download without worrying a out deleting games from the hard drive.

This is the 4th generation of Seagate HD back-up drives. I use three back-ups for each group of photos, and one of them is always a Seagate. I have never been disappointed! Easy to set up for Mac, fast, reliable in use. Great value.

This hard drive is smaller than I expected, which is great! With 2TB I an store all of my movies and music here for easy portability when I am traveling. A great product at a great price. Works seamlessly with an iMac.

Was looking for a drive to put into my PS4. After reading other reviews, I bought. 1.) Backup your data. I didn't backup my game downloads and it was around 1.8GB. 2.) Format the drive as exFAT in Windows. Not sure what you would do if you have Mac. 3.) Replace drive. 4.) Download ~800MBish firmware file from Playstation.com 5.) Start PS4 with new drive and software on USB drive. 6.) Follow prompts. 7.) Restore backup from USB drive. 8.) Restart PS4, and your settings will be back, along with game saves. 9.) Redownload games when necessary. My son was back to playing Arkam Knight in 2 hours yesterday.

I still haven't gotten to make it work. It is hooked up and shows up in devices but it doesn't show up as a drive and the directions don't help a bit.

I use this to back up my Mac hard drive. It is surprisingly small, but build quality is high and it works flawlessly. First back up took forever, of course, but subsequent back ups were smooth and fast using time machine.

I think this hard drive is awesome.used it for my ps4 and couldn't be happier.easy to set up and plenty of space for gaming

I have just discovered that it is not responding, I purchased this as a replacement. my best use will likely be flash drives and cloud storage going forward.

I loaded data on Portable Hard Drive for long term storage. A week later I went to retrieve data for use, and the drive did not work or function. Lost data.

I would not get this hard drive. My pic didnot recognize it, and as soon as it was plugged in it made weird beeping sounds. We ended up returning it that night.

I bought this to backup my work files and it stopped working shortly after buying it.

This is the best external hard drive currently available that doesn't require a power adapter. It's slim, fast, reliable and comes with features not found on other drives. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Well I forgot about the 15 day return policy and didn't open it right away but it turned out the drive was broken and didn't work at all out of the box.

Bought this because I wanted a backup for my computer. Was disappointed it did not even last 6 months. I was expecting more since it is a portable device.

The speed may have been great but it crashed often and the last time i lost 30% of my data.
