Works fine with a MacBook Air, there were no issues in formatting

It came with it's own usb 3.0 cable, so that was a definite plus.

This external drive is nice and compact and serves its intended purpose well. I have used it to store many photos and other files without any problem. A good value.

After reading various reviews, I purchased this hard drive with the only intent of upgrading a PS4 500gb version to a robust 2TB with this drive. Based upon various directions, installation into the PS4 was really easy., and the PS4 I have is now beefier for future downloads. If you want a bigger PS4, this is a great drive. Plus, you can use the external enclosure to put another drive. I transferred the 500gb PS4 drive to an old PS3 which tripled the storage capacity. The little drive that was in the PS3 now went into the enclosure for a little but useful external drive.
