Use this one for my backup disk. Very quick. Really love it!

Went bad after only a year. I had to remove it from it's case, buy all new adapter cables and agree to LOSE ALL SAVED DATA including before and after pics of home remodels I had done. So without any other options I reconfigured it and just recently it went out of service again and I lost 5 years of memories that were supposedly being stored on the piece of garbage Seagate 2Tb external portable hard drive. Complete Waste of Hard Earned Money!

Started out well. With the switch to windows 10. It stopped working. My computer would not recognize the drive. Now, I have no recourse. It stopped working over a year ago have had several techies look at it. Have lost irreplaceable memories. The reason I bought this was because of the amazing reviews. Buyer beware!!!!

That's all; it stopped working after a year and I think I've lost a bit of data that I did not back up. Searching for a replacement now.

It seems to work perfectly with the XBOX but I'd really like to know how to make it work with a PS4... I installed that drive in my PS4 but can't initialize the system and get the error code CE-33566-3. Anybody know what the issue is?... Thanks

I needed this for my PS4 and it worked out well. This is a great HD.

Excuse me while I bawl my eyes out. I had purchased this product with the specific purpose to safely store my family photos. In preparation for the arrival of our second child, I wanted to free space on my computer and put photos in a format that both my husband and I would be able to add to. Well, I followed the directions, downloaded all of my family photos from my first daughter’s birth-present day successfully, and safely ejected. I have a Surface Pro 2 which only has one USB port, so I downloaded more pictures from my phone and went to do a second transfer. The Seagate drive failed. I sought assistance from Best Buy Geek Squad and received a report that there was "major mechanical failure" on the drive itself. My options: to send it off to their recovery center and spend upwards of $2k to TRY to recover the files. Yes, this product comes with a 2 year LIMITED warranty, limited in that they will replace the drive but take no responsibility for data lost. To say I am disappointed and upset would be a gross understatement.

This 2 TB drive was used to store my Xbox one games. Since the day i purchased this drive it never left the side of the Xbox. I am not sure what happened but it just stopped working. I recommended this drive to a friend of mine. His died a few months back. It took almost 3 weeks from the time I sent it in for RMA until I receiving a new one. I am hoping this lasts...

In my possession 50 days. Less than half full backup ONLY! Was to be shelved for back up. They make it almost impossible to comply with warranty return rules. YOU PAY TO SHIP THE DEFECTIVE DRIVE! Then claimed I sent a different drive & refused to replace. Until I told them I had the original box & pictures of what was shipped. ONLY SEND YOU DEFECTIVE DRIVES THAT HAVE BEEN REPAIRED (Refurbished). Don't care about your receipt date only the date of MFG. I have several of these. 1TB, 2TB, 3TB & 4TB. 2tb failed 3/4 full few months. 4tb failed 50 days after rcpt 35 days of write files only & less than 2tb of the 4 used.

as usual product quality is good and i am fully satisfied with the quality of product . Also value for money.

What is up with Seagate their new backup plus drive seem to be defective right out of the box this is the second time I've had to taks it back for replacement I don't intend to replace it with a WD due their high failure rate to bad Seagate does not make the go flex line any more I have five of that line with zero failures
