My nephew is a graphic arts major and tells me he has a lot of downloads. He liked the 1st of these portable hard drives, has it nearly filled, so I got him this one. He finds it easy to use and easy to transport.

I love Seagate hard drives, they have never let me down and are usually pretty affordable. I broke open the case and removed the hard drive to use it to replace the 1TB factory hard drive that came with my PS4 Pro. I wouldn't recommend buying a external drive and breakig the case open unless you know what your are doing though (it is not that difficult). The only reason I did it was bevause the external 2TB was cheaper that a internal 2TB because it was on sale.

I bought this to back up pictures. I was able to do this quick and easy even though I am not a computer savvy person.

I've been getting these to keep bakcing up data from my MacBook instead of writing over the old data all the time, these are so cheap, why over write? in a while i will probably end up getting another one .

I purchased this HDD for the sole purpose to open it up and put it in my PS4. I now have a PS4 with 2tb of memory. And I was still able to salvage the 500gb HDD from my PS4 and put it in the Seagate casing.

With three kids and two X Box One, we needed more memory We went to Best Buy to ask for help and they recommend this product, kids can now save more game progress and only took five minutes to hook up !!

This external hard drive is easy to use and seems to be working fine. I have not had a reason to use the files on it yet, but after about a month of using it pretty much every day, I have no complaints!

Needed to recover some files off my mac book pro while I had it with Geek Squad. Since they used it, I have to see how I can rewrite the stuff in it. Somehow they locked my files and I can't rewrite on it. Still need to figure that out. But it lightweight and portable. Perfect if you have a laptop and need more space to store larger files.

Easy install, worked as expected. Lots of storage space

I got this as a gift for my dad, but got to see it in action as we did several backups to it from his laptop. The speed of the backups seemed pretty fast, even with USB 2.0 connection speeds. The construction seems pretty solid, and the case didn't seem to get overly warm during lengthy operations. My dad seemed pretty excited to have so much backup capacity in such a small package. Oh, and this drive looks much more sleek, compared to the other brands I saw.

Works great as intended. 2 TB external drive in compact size. Use for backup and have had no issues to date. Only wish I had 3.0 USB port to fully utilize the speed. Bought it on sale and reward points.

I bought this for my PS4 as the original 500GB simply would not do! I've been extremely happy with it so far! Let's hope 2TB is enough!!!

I like the physical size of this drive; I can fit a 2TB drive in my pocket and take it anywhere with no problem. It was advertised to be in aluminum which would dissipate heat well, but actually only one side of the outter shell is metal; the other side looks like just some sort of plastic. For this, I only gave it 4-star instead of 5.

In my hobby of photography which entails taking both still photo and video, I need an ample amount od data backup storage capacity and this compact external hard drive from Seagate definitely meets m needs!
