This unit was recommended by Best Buy Geek Robert. I am grateful as the Seagate is a perfect compliment for my needs and easy to use. Also, there is a little reminder window that tells me "no Seagate upgrade for "x" days" that pops up on my computer to remind me to back things up.

Great value for the size and speed (USB3). Seagate is a solid name in hard drives.

MAC use only. Couldn't be easier to install--just plug in the wire. Drive recognized immediately and starts backing up immediately,.Software for drive installs automatically from Seagate site. So far so good.

Very portable hard drive with plenty of storage space to hold many lard raw photography files. It's a great first external hard drive. It's MAC OS ready too.

This was perfect for what I was looking for. I had a scare after all of my photos disappeared on my Mac laptop. I wanted something that was easy to use and had enough memory. This backup system is perfect. All you do is plug it in and it does everything for you!

This very slim hard drive is perfect for an easy back up drive. I would be even happier if Best Buy stores carried a case that was made for this slim design. Overall, Seagate makes great hard drives in my opinion, and I have never had a problem with one.

I purchased this drive as Time Machine drive for my daughters Mac-book She is in college and relies on her laptop for all of here schoolwork. Loss of her projects would be disastrous to her education. So to be safe, back it up before there is a problem.

I read about and heard about this being a great product to back up all of your info from your Mac onto it. Thinking since I had my Mac for years it wouldn't be enough, I still had plenty of room.

This is so easy to use and I love the size. It's as easy to carry around as a flash drive but holds so much more. I would definitely buy it again.

Great external drive and easy to use great to help save space on laptop

I really never knew about backing up my computer. I learned on one of my visits to Best Buy and was recommended this product. I went home and immediately used it and felt a wave of relief that now I know my photos, etc. will be safe should something go wrong.

The Seagate Backup Hard Drive is running like a champ. It was VERY easy to connect. Just plug it into your computer and that's all you have to do. When I move my laptop around with me, the hard drive goes with me because it's very lightweight.

It's small. It's fast. In my experience seagate has always been reliable too. If you are looking for a great product then this is it.

Checked the BestBuy reviews, went to the store and bought (2) to back up my Mac laptop, and my wife's. Super simple setup, easy to plug in when charging the laptop. The price point vs. the peace of mind of having a back-up? Priceless!
