This is an expensive hard drive storage, but believe that it is the best one used for MacBooks. I recommend this as a good option, but disappointed with the high price.

Only used once. I found it to be overly complicated . would not recommend.

It did not work with my Wii U as I had hoped it would,was thinking of returning it but maybe I could work something out wit it instead

I was initially pleased with my purchase. The set up was easy and streamlined. However, just after I'd saved all of my files to the hard drive and deleted the copies of the documents from my computer. The drive crashed, and I can't get it to do more than sound like it will restart. I'm lucky I hadn't deleted my pictures from the computer.

I was told in the store this could be used for an Ipad! WRONG! It can to so I had to return. No problems returning it though!

This is my second external hard drive through this company. The first got water damage in a flood and for obvious reasons stopped working. This was a replacement one. After having lost everything from the first one I was desperate to not lose anything else. The chord broke after normal usage and caused damage to the hard drive and now there is no way to get anything off it.

Does not work on USB 2.0 ports. Exchanged twice then got a refund. Replaced with another brand; connected without issue.

I bought this HD specific for macbook and it's not compatible with the usb port from the newest model.

It was rather difficult getting this to work on my Mac. However, once I did, it has been a great backup!

I needed to have an external harddrive. i chose the one I have and so far it seems to be working.

Haven't had a lot of time with it yet but have not found it as easy to use as pthers I've had.

It didn't automatically link up to TimeMachine on my Mac so I had to manually upload my files.

Bought this Seagate Back Plus Slim and had it shipped to me. Worked for a few hours and died. Had put files on drive so had to return to a local Best Buy store. They told me on the phone they could wipe disk but at store said drive was defective so could not wipe disk. Best Buy sent me a replacement which also died after a few hours of use. Now have no working product and I'm out the money I spent. If you search on Google for Seagate Backup Plus Slim for Mac you will see many unhappy customers. My experience is this product is a piece of junk. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Returned this item as I ordered the Mac version and I got the same for my PC.

Wasn't as easy as I reviewed, still trying to move music from old computer to my mac

I use this external hard drive to backup all my data from my iMac. It was easy to setup and does exactly what is says it will do. The product came right out of the box and worked without a problem. Easy set up and easy to use, small, light. Tons of space. Great price.

Did all my Time Machine backups on my Mac with this hard drive. Never had an issue until I bought a new MacBook, tried to transfer the files and the hard drive no longer worked. It was making a funny sound and wouldn’t open. Too bad I had already traded in my old Mac at this point.

User interface that comes with it does not provide a good automatic solution.

This is a great product and I would recommend as a purchase
