I love the ease of use and have several of these for different files - personal and work.

Easy install for a time machine backup drive.

It was pretty simple and easy. No issues so far and it has been running for over a month now.

Inexpensive Back-up / Easy To Use

I then went with the Seagate device which is designed to use with a Mac. Simple and quick to set-up and works just fine with the Mac Time Machine. I have a Macbook Air.

Used for between operating systems

However, there are certain programs needed by teachers that are not available on mac platform. I bought this external to go between the operating systems and it works flawlessly. I spoke with the guys at the geek squad counter before the purchase and they said it would be fine. This works great for between platform use due to its formatting. Would also be great as a backup hard drive as well. Very small and easy to pack in a backpack.
