||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have three seagate drives. A 500 GB and 1 TB for my mac and a 500 GB for my work computer. They all have worked flawlessly. Just plug in and copy stuff over to store. Never an issue. Just make sure to buy the one for a Mac or a PC, depending on your system. Mac's cannot write to the PC drive without jumping through some hoops with the storage language.

This small and slender device is just what i needed to provide ongoing / Time Machine backups for my iMac hard drive. It runs so smoothly and quietly. It has thousands of pictures stored on it already and it has barely touched any of the memory space!! Love it!! Only down fall is the cord to connect to the computer is only about 6 inches long so I have to lay the device on my laptop when it's connected.

The genius bar staff at the Apple store suggested this Seagate unit. It was very easy to set up, turns on and off with my laptop use. I like the small sleek design. I have not used it yet to transfer my documents to a new computer, will have to update this review when I do.
