Using this with Time Machine to backup my Macbook Pro running OS El Capitan. Working flawlessly. Very happy.

I buy a lot of these for sending video files to clients. They work great, and seem to be frequently on sale.

I use to store all videos and pictures it really keeps my MAC space free of use. Will invest in another soon.

Although it's not difficult to format a drive to be compatible with Macintosh, it's nice to have something that's ready to go right out of the package. This Seagate drive fits the bill. Just plug in and Time Machine should open automatically. Backed up 65 GB of data on the first run. No problems.

I needed this drive to back up a great number of family photos off of a notebook. Pefect storage facility!

This is the fourth Seagate external hard drive I've purchased (one of which is the Central). The oldest one is around ten years old and still works beautifully. I bought this one to carry with me. It's small enough to go in my pocket, but has 1TB of storage. Perfect for my design coursework needs!

This works as a nice external hard drive. I was able to download all of the files that I needed to keep and save them on it. What I really wanted was a hard drive that I could access from any place and I could put programs on so that I will keep the programs on my computer. So I wish I had bought the wireless one but for the money just did the job it was intended to do. It's a good inexpensive solution to a small memory

Not much more expensive than their drives with less space, so I went with the 1TB to handle anything my hard drive.

This is my 2nd one. I have them for all my computers at home and work. It's a great product and a decent price.

Bought this as a Time Machine drive for a new Macbook Air. Works flawlessly. Light and easy to carry around.

This is a great, easy to use backup solution for my Macbook Pro. I plugged it in via the provided SuperUSB cable and Time Machine automagically started up and was ready to start backing up my Mac. I did take a moment to partition and rename the device before letting Time Machine have it's way. I use 2/3 of the storage for Time Machine and 1/3 of the storage for manually backing up important files. I do manual backups because I have heard horror stories of Mac's failing to restore from a Time Machine backup. For my "manual backups" I actually use an Automator script that kicks off when I mount the external drive, so there really isn't much effort or remembering that I have to do. "Worst case" (other than a HDD failure) is that I have to do a clean install and then manually restore my important files. Software and less important functions I can just reload and reconfigure. This HDD is small enough to be highly portable without creating a bulky or heavy laptop bag. My one complaint is that the provided cable is very short and tends to want to stay folded up in the shape it was packaged/shipped. I replaced it with a braided cloth-covered cable - I prefer the aesthetics.

I basically bought to back-up my photos. It hooked up easy and so far so good with backing up my stuff.

I purchased this external hard drive to increase my storage on my 2016 MBP. It works exactly as designed and has been a great addition to my setup. It's slim design makes it super portable and I have everything backed up via TimeMachine. Overall, very satisfied with my purchase.

This product works great! Works really well with Mac OS and the TimeMachine app. Definitely recommend.
